I saw the positive reviews and photos of what it looked like a nice place. So went ahead and booked the stay thru booking.com and paid $64 dollars. Let’s just say that the outside looks OK and the pictures make it look like a nice place but the minute you step inside this place is a dump!!! I’m not talking old or quaint but instead filthy including a left over cheese ?( it looked like a green something) in the mini fridge. The beds were a joke and the mattress finer than an RV mattress. Luckily I only booked 1 night so I have another hotel to review next time. My advice if all you care is price then stay here ; however if you want a clean place (to take a shower at) then get a different spot. Also forgot to mention that there is no parking !!! So you have to find a meter or a garage then pay 15 pesos/ hour to park the car…

Marquesitas - Massage - Remote Work

The rooms are big, the bed has been huge and comfy. We had our own table and the WiFi was really good, we could perfectly work there. It was calm and the little garden right in town was lovely. We have gotten a free 20min massage and a marquesitas everyday, the breakfast was alright and you get "coffee" and tea all day long.
The location is just perfect, calm and next to the party street :)

The bad side are really depends on what you are used to. The room smelled a bit old, the whole room, except our bed, was old and everything else than modern.

We payed 42€ a night, for this you can't complain :)

Hotel is within walking distance of multiple restaurants, beach, ferry terminal, 5th Avenue, and the bus terminal. Courtyard has a small pool and is very shaded with tall trees. Light breakfast and a tasty evening snack are included. Could use updating as parts are pretty shabby. Staff is very friendly and helpful.

I enjoyed my stay very much. It's a quiet and cozy place perfect for couples of all ages that wants to get away for a holiday. It's close to a Supermarket and very close to the party streets that is literally around the corner and yet you never hear any noise from these streets. Wonderful and helpful staff.

Very good experience. If I come again to playa del carmen, i would stay here again. Quite, spacey, relaxing environment. Breakfast is nope though. Also the boss is a cat

I really enjoyed my stay in Hotel Del Karma. The staff is really nice, room was very clean and the Area is super quiet. The garden looks like a sanctuary. Laura gave me a amazing massage. She is the best massage therapist in Playa. Price for value of this hotel is great.

Unfortunately, I wouldn’t recommend this place. We got a big amount of money stolen from our room by the staff of the hotel. This was our only day when we borrowed bicycles from them u0026 drove to visit friends out of Playa. We were gone for the whole day. We locked the room, closed windows. When we came back, room was still locked, no thief’s were inside ofc, the only thing changed was that our room was tidied up. So the bed was made u0026 trash was out. (They do the quick cleaning whenever they choose to daily.) And, money was gone.

Obviously we tried to solve the problem with the manager of the hotel, didn’t seem to want to help us at all. Made us feel like liers. ‘How can I know you had money there?’ ‘Cleaning lady told me she didn’t take the money’... well, we don’t know who took the money, but one thing is sure - the only people who has the key from our room is us u0026 the staff. They enter your room to clean whenever they choose to.

It was very very unfortunate, we are very disappointed... that did not happen to us before. I understand thief’s, but the staff? Very sad.
