Harry's Steakhouse & Raw Bar | Playa del Carmen

We made a reservation for dinner here on our last night in Playa del Carmen. It was to celebrate our honeymoon. We booked for a 6:30pm dinner which was quite early as when we sat down more than half the restaurant was empty.
To start off the service was great, and the food selection was decent. We wanted to order steak so they brought out the whole selection of steaks and explained where the steaks were from, the different cuts, etc.
My husband ordered the surf and turf (steak and lobster) and I got the lobster risotto. The steak was great. The risotto was pretty average, nothing to rave about.
Upon getting our food, it was hot but not piping hot so it was probably sitting in the kitchen for a bit before it was brought out. Halfway through the meal, the food was already lukewarm.
One thing which I liked about the service was when they serve the steak they ask you to cut it in the middle to make sure it is cooked to your liking. That is top-notch service.
We ordered one of their signature desserts which was the lemon pear and it was great and ended with complimentary cotton candy.
On a side note, I thought it was overwhelming to have 5 servers serving a table of 2. I was a little uncomfortable to have so many servers standing by our table watching us eat and waiting to remove the next plate. One or two servers would have been more than enough for a table of 2.

Harry's just wasn't a hit for us, regrettably. I'll start off with the good, the restaurant is beautiful and very clean, and the service is absolutely stellar. The food however, tasted kind of bland. Our appetizer and our meals came out right in a row which is always disappointing. Our whole experience here only lasted about 45 minutes. The music in the restaurant also took away from the nice classy ambience. The speaker was blaring club music in our ears the entire time. It doesn't seem like the type of music for this type of place and it definitely was part of the reason our experience wasn't very good aside from the food. I will say however, I felt very appreciated to be there and everybody who was working could not have been any nicer.

We visited Harry's on April 10, 2022 for my birthday. When I tell you this was the best decision that my bf ever made. The food was amazing. Everything was cooked to perfection. Adrian was extremely knowledgeable in each cut of meat and Julio made sure that our cups were never empty. Everyone was extremely attentive and I would recommend Harry's to anyone visiting Mexico. Harry's definitely sets the bar high in food and service.

I went for lunch with some friends and the place is expensive and specializes in meats. if you're a vegetarian, you won't have many options.

The service is impeccable, from the receptionist to the waiter.

what I liked the most were not even the dishes - because we don't eat the main meats - but the strawberry cheesecake

My wife and I came here for our 1st Wedding Anniversary whilst in Playa Del Carmen. We came here knowing that we will have a high quality experience for such a special occasion from reading others reviews.

We turned up early and they seated us with no issue. We were served by Rafael who was on constant lookout for us and highly attentive.

The service was impeccable! We were regularly asked if everything was OK and to standard, even being asked if my steak was to my liking. Being from London that is rare to find.

My Australian Black Oynx Kobe Steak was incredible. We had East Coast Oysters as well. My wife had Rock Lobster Rissotto which was delightful. As soon as my wife had removed the lobster from the shell, the waiter came straight away to remove the shell. Its all about the little things.

Amazing Easter brunch in a fine dining setting. We had a great afternoon at Harry’s - excellent seafood, tasty cocktails and attentive service. The attention to detail in this place is impressive. Recommend the Tropical Spritz cocktail, crab cakes to start and the salmon or sea bass as a main. Victor took great care of us and he even remembered our names throughout. We can’t wait to come back again!

Great dining experience. Great selection of food. Service was top notch. Jesus and Pablo provided the best night! The margarita was excellent but not so much the crickets. It comes with the drink. I suggest getting them on the side to try with hot sauce and a hint of lime.
