Our room was quite spacious and the bed comfortable. But as the windows are low cut and can only be opened a tiny bit on the bottom, it gets very hot in there. There is no AC, only a fixed fan (it can't move). That's not enough to cool the air.

The biggest issue is noise. The big street close by is a catastrophe, there are, day and night, loud motorbikes or huge trucks moving. The rooms are poorly isolated, also within the building, so if your neighbors watch TV, you'll basically watch with them.

The staff speaks no English. Communication was almost impossible. Organisation also, as we only got asked to pay at the last day. And even then we had to ask around to find someone who felt responsible to take our money.

We can't recommend the place due to the noise situation. Sleeping was barley possible. But the neighborhood is quite safe.

Beautifully charming Posada with clean, well appointed rooms, and very accommodating staff. The front garden is magical. There is an OXXO store, fabulous bakery, cafe, and other services within a 2 minute walk. Definitely will return here.

It is small and secure, walking is easy to el Centro. The room was comfortable, with my wishes and needs met. Second floor room has a vista of the mountains. There is a small patio in front.

The jazzercize class next door woke me up every morning, including the weekends at 7am. I can sleep through a lot, but this was LOUD and only 10 feet from my room. Also, I think I was the only person staying there when I was there. It felt lonely and a little unsafe.

Great little place to stay. Covenient to markets, wash clothes, and zocalo. CANT BEAT the price 30 DOLLARS A NIGHT. Only problem the staff dont speak english but they very friendly and sweet. Very clean place. Down the street best tamales to eat (Gloria tamales). Dont worry police and the people at clinic eat there as well and its boiled. Very quiet unlike the zocalo. They have a kitchen if you want to cook. I am chinese i need to eat noodles.

This is very convenient to Instituto Cultural de Oaxaca, ( La Casa Chata, Snub nose house), the language school. As most lodgings in this price range, there is no air-conditioning, and due to the cost of electricity, no TV. Since it is so near bus lines, taxis, grocery store, drop-off laundromat, restaurants, there is no waste of time moving about. Other pluses are large ceiling fans, refrigerator in room, private bathrooms, safe deposit box, 24-hour staffing, and Wi-Fi. In all, value for your money.

Very friendly staff and clean areas. In the weekends the streets outside are a bit noisy and the rooms don't have great windows for air change but the beds are comfy.
