Stop in at the up stairs terrace for a beer or two while enjoying the sites...Now that I have been sitting here for an hour or better, it's gotten much better. Owner came over and laughed together for 20 minutes. Several more beers and a shot of Mezcal, how could life not be been. Ask for a shot of "She-ha" and laugh the afternoon away????????

The views at sunset are great. The staff, especially Rosa went above and beyond. Food was nothing to try again and way overpriced. Drinks weren't bad, but once again overpriced.

Come here for the view! This place is right in front of the church and you get a really good view. We got beer u0026 a cocktail (the cocktail was ok) went for dinner elsewhere..

I think we tried most of the restaurants and bars around the cathedral and of all of the terraces with a view late afteroon this was probably our favorite overall experience. Although the entrance is a bit sketchy once you get up top and to your seat you have a decent view of the cathedral. The live music and great tasting affordable food was a pleasent surprise. This is the one restaurant in Oaxaca that we really wanted to come back to and try again. The other nearby restaurants that we tried with a view were Pitiona, Praga Coffee Bar and the Irish Pub.

Arrived as a solo traveler around 4 pm, did not appear busy, no reservations are required; the hostess who was also handing out toilet paper for the public bathroom, was very rude refusing to seat me for some unknown reasons, (not a local?). First suspected it was due to lack of available tables but then as other parties arrived, some couples, etc. She alowed at least several other parties to enter while I stood in the lobby without any explanation just glares and attitude by her. I read through previous reviews and see the hostess issue is a recurring issue. Ended up leaving for someplace else more welcoming.

Fantastic locals place with yummy food and limited, but delicious, drink list. Hard to find but totally worth it for the view over Templo Santo Domingo and the surrounding plaza. From the set, up it looks like they occasionally have live music as well.
