Best bar to try and learn about Mezcales. The owners are a nice couple and so welcoming. Armando knows the producers and offers you tastings at a great price.

This small bar offers great value Mezcal tastings (100 or 130 pesos for 3 shots, depending on the qualities of Mezcal chosen).
The owners of the bar were extremely friendly and walked us through the tasting, discussing the flavours in each Mezcal. It was so good we returned for a second tasting later in the day.

Excellent range of Mezcales, you can taste 3 different types for 100/130 pesos(May 2022), the owener can recommend you some types and explain how to drink it and enjoy it.

A beautiful little bar built into the entrance of a hostel. I popped in around 5 PM on a Monday, tried a few different mezcals, and had a lovely conversation with the owner, who was behind the bar. 100% recommend.

The mezcal was great and the staff is incredibly friendly!! They chatted with my friends and I in Spanish for a few hours even though our Spanish was a little rough. If you don’t like mezcal, they make a mezcal cocktail with mango mezcal that’s delicious as well.

What an awesome bar- incredible variety of Mezcals, offered with all the condiments. Fabulous tasting of 3 for a great price.

Arnando and Leticia have a wide variety of mezcal for great prices, and will happily chat about mezcal, Oaxaca, Mexico and everything in between. Highly recommend for a fun, relaxed evening with friendly owners. This is a hidden highlight of Oaxaca.
