A hotel with very friendly staff. The rooms are a good size and the beds comfortable. It’s located in a great location in the city centre. We felt very safe at all times. Nice breakfasts are available in upstairs restaurant. The only negative point is that the the room was noisy at night with lots of sounds. (Dogs barking, car alarms, other guests music) It was hard to sleep fully through the night properly

Very highly recommend this hotel! My partner and I were in Oaxaca this past week for a wedding, and stayed at Casa Divina for 7 nights. We enjoyed every aspect of our stay at the hotel! Our room was beautiful with a king sized bed and tasteful antique furniture, the location was perfect (5-10 mins walk to everything we wanted to see in the city, but quieter than being right in the centre), everyone was super friendly and helpful, and the included breakfast was delicious (I was surprised to see negative reviews about the breakfast, since the included breakfast was much much more than we were expecting - it included fresh fruit or freshly squeezed orange juice, an option for the main, from which we always picked the chilaquiles with black beans, and tea or coffee. And we ate on the rooftop terrace every morn, which was a beautiful spot to start the day). The wedding we there for was based at the Quinta Real, where many guests stayed - it’s a 5 star and was much more expensive, so we were very happy to have an affordable option that was in a quieter part of the city but still so walkable and conveniently located. Finally, the staff really went out of their way to help us - they made sure our rental car was parked in a secure location overnight, accommodated our dietary needs at breakfast (I’m vegan and my partner is vegetarian), and had lots of helpful suggestions about the city and surrounding areas (one of the hotel co-owners, Jorge, was usually on site and went out of his way to chat with us and offer any assistance). We also especially enjoyed our daily chats at breakfast with Carlos, who works in the restaurant. Highly recommend a stay at Casa Divina!

Would of been 5 stars but the restaurant upstairs wasn't worth dinning at.

(Translated by Google) A small hotel in the center of the city of Oaxaca where the reception staff, chambermaids and especially Mr. Jorge Ruiz do everything possible to comply. Unfortunately, the kitchen staff and the administration headed by Mrs. Patricia (probable owner) and Miss Daniela have no interest in fulfilling their commitments to customers. In my case, I rented the entire hotel, the 8 rooms for 3 nights for a family event. The rooms are quite decent, although there was not a single room that did not have some problem with the bathrooms, which is understandable since it is an old building. In my opinion it is not worth the $1400 with taxes included that they charged me per night, there are much better options for the same price as the constant visiting other relatives who did not have a room in this hotel.
Just to name one, this is an art house for the same price with better facilities and great food. But the main reason for my dissatisfaction is that I paid them for many mole dishes at $548 plus VAT each dish and I cannot say that it had a bad taste, what I can comment on is that from the beginning you had to fish for the pieces of chicken and pork in the pots and struggled to find them. I recommend that for no reason do an event in this place. the administration (Mrs. Patricia) never gave me a face so that I could express all my disagreements about what they did not comply with, even though I paid them up to the last penny of what was agreed.
Except for the day where I paid them $548 plus VAT for a dish that wasn't worth it and they didn't give us ice. I had to buy it.
To close with a flourish after having consumed almost $47,000, they did not want to grant me a 4-hour extension for a single room since the flight of one of my relatives left later. Responsible for the publication Raúl Hernández Hernández
