I spent a week here and thoroughly enjoyed my stay. The beds were comfortable, the rooms were cleaned daily and the staff and ownership were very accommodating and attentive to my needs. I would highly recommend this for anyone looking for a unique stay in Oaxaca. Covid clean!

Clean, modern and high quality amenities. Shower was nice! Neighbourhood is quiet and safe.
However the staff could have been nicer: We arrived around 10am and official check-in is at 2pm. Although the room was already ready, they asked us to pay half the price of the room extra if we wanted to go into the room. This has never happened to us before!! Since we did not agree to pay, they basically made us wait in front of the room for 2 hours, which is a bit ridiculous! After 2 hours we asked again and finally they let us into our room without extra cost. We did not feel very welcome.

It's a very a nice and clean hostel with comfy beds. I always prefer hostels with curtains on the beds which this one has. The lockers are big so I got both of my backpack in. The breakfast is good with pancakes fruits and toast. It's just 5 minutes from the bus terminal which is easy to walk. To the city center it's a 5 to 10 min walk, so no need for a taxi or Uber. The room situation was a bit strange, there was another dorm attached so people had to work through the first room. Although there was no one in the second room.

I went to go visit Mexico for about 2 weeks and for the price i wasa little sceptical because of some comments i saw about the hotel. I decided to book it because i realized some hotels even cheaper were a little more shady. Once i got there i realized i was overthinking it. The front desk was very helpful and the hotel was nice for it's location. The price was maybe a little too much, but i belive it was worth it.

They wanted to charge more for a room we had booked and partially paid via Hostelworld a month in advance. After refusing to do so, they just took us to another hostel called "hostal jalatlaco" without asking us if we agreed to stay there. Then they gave us a room with a double bed when we had originally booked one with two double beds. Deceiving people by using their rating and reviews to lure customers in just to fill another hostel managed/owned by the same person is not right. Even worse when that other hostel is still under construction! Wouldn't recommend visiting either of those hostels. There are tons of them around Oaxaca, many of them closer to downtown. Hostal Chocolate could be a better option.

A true Oaxaca vibe. The staff is very attentive and the rooms are clean and modern. The terrace though... That is the real winner here.

Great location, close to ADO bus terminal and in a nice area not far to the centre. Clean rooms, nice roof terrace and simple breakfast in the mornings.
