I want to express how incredibly horrified I was with the discrimination experienced at this specific store. My friends and I were going to make a sandal and wallet purchase and we were immediately received with deprecatory remarks from your security staff u0026 team. One of the younger gentleman at the entrance made a poor comment prior to opening the door for us during a pouring afternoon in Mexico City.
The judgement was clearly a derivative of the casual/informal attire that we were wearing. The doorman security let us stand in the pouring rain for about a minute prior to opening the door. Moments before opening the door he proceeds to chuckle with his colleague and says to him out loud in Spanish “well these are our clients, right? haha” He might’ve assumed that we didn’t hear them but they were very loud and as a bilingual native speaker I was well aware of the derogatory comment. Then while we are looking through the store selection they proceed to begin to follow us all around the store while the staff are texting and laughing while also clearly talking about us through their walkies. They made assumptions of what we were able to purchase/afford based on our appearance and this made us feel extremely uncomfortable, offended, and disrespected. As an LV portfolio holder, I’d expect much better treatment. I decided not to order a pair of sandals because the store was not deserving of the recording of the net sale and retailer commission that they’d be entitled for all purchases. These staff need to understand that this behavior will not be tolerated under any circumstances.
