Loved staying at this hostel. The front desk staff as well as the manager were always helpful and kind with any questions or requests I had. The beds are comfortable and private. The best part of the property is the amazing rooftop where you can socialize, make new travel friends, and buy cheap drinks/food in the evening. Will stay anytime I am back in CDMX.

Loud, small uncomfortable pillows, so cold nights and they don't give any blankets. My bed was dirty, they don't change the linens after previous person.
And the new linen as a thin bed cover was with the yellow spots. The light in toilet and shower does not work nights (haven't checked it day time).
This hostel is huge and a lot of people in it. Highly do not recommend to go if you have any value stuff.
No covid restrictions, a lot of people have a caught or sneezing and no one wearing a mask in share areas.
And of course they have a cough, coz nights so freaking cold with no blanket and doors and windows opened, so you basically sleep on the street.

Good hostel but BED BUGS!!!!! And they dont seem to do anything about it. Nothing is worst than getting bitten by bed bugs during your travel..
Comfortable beds, good terrace, good vibes in the evening.
Also no water fountain..... making money on selling plastic bottles instead.

Another one of the greats. I stay here now when I'm passing through CDMX. Happens to be one of the cheapest, so it's nice and lively. Plenty of space, even a small living room with Netflix if you need a break from social life upstairs. Big bathrooms, plenty of showers, breakfast included. Legendary memories.

Hostel Casa MX alameda is a great hostel.
I walked in and booked 3 nights but in the end I extended for 4 nights, 5 days.

The location is in the center but not really in the centro, you can walk there without a problem. The nearest bus station/ metro station is Hidalgo. Which is amazing because it’s like 8 minutes walk, it helps me a lot.

I had good experience with them. The people who works there are nice and patient which is important. I appreciate them giving us a towel with no extra fee.
About my dorms- (there are several dorms) I stayed at a dorm of 10 people. The floor is made from wood so you really hear every step of the ppl whose coming in and leaving the dorms. Sometimes it’s hard at night or early in the morning.
In my dorm we had private bathroom and showers. For me, the shower in the room wasn’t good at all because 2 main problems: it was very cold while showering!!! ???? because there is a window that impossible to close, winds come in, and also, the worse, the water are barely going out!
After few nights there I figure I should try to other showers (outside the dorm) and this was amazing, they have a whole “room” of 3-4 showers. The water was going out, hot water, and warm inside the room.
Overall, the hostel has an ok kitchen (missing a lot of things and it’s hard to cook like this) the hostel has a rooftop (in fact the kitchen is at the rooftop) which is nice to chill there and meet other people who’s staying at the same hostel.

Thank you so much, I will definitely be back!

I don't understand why this hostel offers a terrace, TV room and games room just to close them at 11pm and tell everyone to clear out and be quiet as if we're children that need to be told to go to bed early??? This also causes everyone whos been kicked out of these areas to congregate in the only other common area available, which is RIGHT in front of all the dorm rooms where everyone is sleeping...which completely defeats the purpose of closing down the other common areas if their goal is noise reduction. I've never been at a hostel with such ridiculous rules. Also, every other hostel I've been to in Latin America offers free water refils from the large jugs (which btw would cost the hostel 10 pesos per jug to fill) however this one has no water and instead all the guests have to buy their own little plastic water bottles multiple times per day, creating a ridiculous amount of uneccessary plastic waste.
