New favorite museum in Mexico City. Gorgeous renovated building from 1780 with a thoughtfully laid out collection of Mexican artists. Great landscape pieces in particular.

Museo Kaluz is my absolute favorite museum among the many museums and galleries I visited during my trip to Mexico City. This is an elegant space displaying paintings from both Mexican and international artists fascinated by the hundreds of majestic scenarios of Mexico. The museum also has a wonderful terrace from which you can admire the historical city center and like many others museums of the city, on certain days the entrance is free.

Beautiful building, well presented works (albeit I was not overly interested in the exhibited paintings). Lovely roof terrace with great museum coffee. Way too many people work there, telling you every 5 meters where to go (even though it is hyper obvious...). That took away quite a bit of the serenity and calm of the visit.

Amazing work to restore a Colonial building and transforming it into a great museum !

This is an absolute hidden gem, although with less reviews but my favorite one among all quality museums in CDMX, please do take your time to check out this amazing museum. The museum itself is very well designed, the details for its interior and the rooftop all contributes to the pleasant experience. Works are from less know Mexican artists but anyone can still learn a lot from the well categorized collections

Wonderful place to visit. The museum is fairly new and it's worth it. Right now it hosts a collection of Mexican art. The structure inside is colonial, as far as I know this place received pilgrims that visited the church next door. During the XX century it was the Hernán Cortés hotel.
You can find a beautiful roof garden at the top with a great view of the surroundings.
