I ordered “Enfrijoladas con pollo”, they were delicious! Very filling! The touch of chorizo and the avocado were amazing on it. I also ordered a Chai vanilla. I honestly think it’s the tastiest and richest one I’ve had in the city (so far). Also, a basket with about 5 pieces of sweet bread of 3 different kinds was included. As well as 2 pieces of homemade bolillo bread, which were the softest I’ve had as well! The service was superb! Very attentive, yet not bothersome. I was allowed to enjoy my food without feeling the pressure of someone asking me if I wanted anything every few minutes. However, when I did need service, they were there with the best attitude! Overall, the experience was amazing and the prices were fair –especially comparing to the rest of the city and the area in which it is located.
Update: I went back with my fiancée and we tried the apple chai as well as the chocolate chai; they were perfect!
I ordered chilaquiles rojos with arrachera steak. Very tasty! The black beans were the only sort of down side as they had a funky taste to them.
My fiancée ordered the shrimp Mediterranean panini, it was honestly delicious! Perfect balance and harmony of ingredients! Even the fries were so tasty we didn’t even need ketchup.
We also ordered a “Bomba de chocolate envinado” as desert. It was good, but nothing special or extraordinary. Next time we’d like to try the Bailey’s desert as they were out this time.
My only small complaint is that this second time around they were out of the different kinds of pastries and our basket only contained bolillo bread (which as aforementioned, is homemade and some of the best of its kind in the city!) Perhaps it has to do with the fact that it was Sunday (a very busy day due to the 9am-2pm buffet).
