This hotel was everything a visitor to Mexico City could ask for: great location in a beautiful area, highly attentive and helpful staff, clean and quiet room, comfortable bed, and great value. We were warmly welcomed when we arrived and given a quick tutorial on the facility and surrounding area, over the following days the staff was always happy to answer any question we had and made our checkout process easy to avoid any potential delays getting to our early morning flight.

This was such a gem of a place. A boutique hotel, comfortable beds, very clean, quaint restored old home on a quiet street with lots of restaurants nearby to walk to. A 20 minute Uber ride to the Historic Centre with no traffic. A common area with a kitchen on the first floor, a mini fridge to store some items. Drinking water in jugs were provided to fill up your own bottles, bananas in the morning and coffee. Paul is a great help, offers suggestions, is there to answer any of your questions and maintains this property very professionally, we enjoyed our stay here very much. Antonio was also very helpful and courteous always attentive if we needed anything as so was Carlos. We had asked for a pedestal fan although there is a a/c unit in the room and they were very flexible with our requests. Very comfortable stay with warm and friendly people. Highly recommend this spot. Keep up the great work. Bravo ????

Myself and two girlfriends travelled to Mexico City for a 3 day girls getaway. We absolutely loved staying at Amatalan 84 in Condesa.
The location was absolutely perfect, Condesa is a beautiful, very safe neighborhood.
The beds were comfortable, rooms were very clean and we made the most of the kitchen facilities and rooftop seating.
All of the staff were so friendly and helpful, especially Paul!
I will definitely be staying at this hotel again on my next trip to Mexico City!
Thank you Casa Condesa!

We had requested a quiet room and ours was away from the street on the second floor.
It was clean and cozy with comfortable double bed and clean, fresh smelling linens and perfect weight blankets. We had a casement window, although no view but the room was bright and cheerful. Each room was different, and ours was one of the smallest, but layed out conveniently with plenty of accommodation for my husband's and my overpacked wardrobe. Small bathroom with good hot water and water pressure in the shower. We appreciated the bottles of water, a shared sitting area with coffee, tea, litres of filtered water jugs, refrigerator and microwave. Coffee maker in our room, too. We loved the roof top seating area with two lounge chairs in the sun and a round table with four chairs. You get there using a winding staircase. (Not for handicapped or physical issues).
As someone else said in a review, you will not find some of the "touches" that you find in mainstream hotels. But if you want something, just ask Paul, the host, and he will make it
happen, if possible.
The staff was extraordinarily friendly and helpful. We don't speak spanish so we relied a lot on Paul
and Pauli, the business manager, whose job was NOT to act as concierge, but she did so, willingly, stopping her "real" office work to make phone calls, etc. for us.
Meeting Paul, our host,
was the highlight of our lovely stay at Casa Condesa. He is one of the nicest people we will have had the privilege of meeting. He also has a great sense of humor. He helped us way beyond what we would have expected from a manager/host of a small hotel.
He made himself available to help with itinerary suggestions, drew maps, helped us to phone ubers, arranged for a driver to take us to Teotihuacan Pyramids, recommended restaurants, etc. He walked my husband to a bank and me to a market where he stayed and ordered what I needed, and walked me back.
When my husband got sick for 2 days, Paul's concern was genuine and he helped suggest medicine and electrolyte drinks and correct food, and kept asking how things were going. He was better with us than many of our family members might have been. He made the 2 days of my husbands stomach upset and weakness so much less stressful for us, away from home and sick. At night, he told me how to reach him and wake him up if the health issue turned into an emergency.
Condesa is a perfect neighborhood to stay in and you can get almost anywhere safely by Uber which will cost from about $4.00 US or so for some pretty long trips due to bad traffic. Drive to airport was about $12.00. That was the most expensive. No tipping Uber expected as of February 2019.

Lovely little boutique hotel in the heart of hipster Condesa, an area great for bars and restaurants.

Good size rooms, spacious bathrooms, cleaned thoroughly every day. Theres a little kitchen/ dining space with a sofa and fridge to give you that home from home feel. Best of all the staff are total diamonds, helpful with booking taxis and advising us (3 female travellers in our thirties) how to get to and best experience Lucha Libre at the Mexico Arena (def go, really fun evening).

The elegant lady owner is genuine, warm and full of great insider advice that you won't find in any guide book. Felt so welcome and looked after in this huge city! Also the hop on hop off tour bus stops five min walk away making it easy to see the sights. Altho if you just want to go to Frida Kahlo's + Leon Trotsky museum you're much better off getting an uber (they're safe, don't worry) than going round the houses on a tour bus. Cost us around 100peso - bargain!

Love this gem of a hotel, best place to bed down if you're looking for something other than an anonymous chain hotel room.
