Great place to have a picnic with friends. There were tons of places with shade but also areas to play Frisbee or other games. We had a great time and the best part is that parks are free! Just make sure to bring 5 pesos if you need to use the nearby public bathrooms.

Inside Bosque de Chapultepec. Nice outing for picnics and outdoor activities.

Ever since it was erected here back in 1962 to commemorate Mexico’s first 150 years of independence, this gift from the good people of Canada to its North American brothers the Mexicans, has adorned the great Bosque de Chapultepec.
Carved in red cedar the totem is elven meters high, and decorated with alerting dark and light colors resembling different animal parts. The totem is meant to symbolize the relationship between Mexico and Canada as well as then fauna shared by the two countries.

And excelent place to have a picnic whit your friends our couple, in this section of the park you can't join with your dog.

I wish the eagle had wings lol... It's an ok average piece however the are around it's majestic for a picnic or a nap on the grass... Anything in chapultepec is beautiful :)

What's a chilango doing in Saskatchewan? Same as a Canadian totem does in the Bosque de Chapultepec. Just standing there. This Totem symbolically expresses the relationship of Aboriginal peoples with mysterious forces of nature and supposedly represents the good relations between Canada and Mexico. However, people can only learn from their totem if they understand how to communicate with animals.
