We had such a nice dinner here, took my wife for Valentine’s Day, wanted to try something new in the area as we’ve been to most other spots along this park, and I’ve got to say that this was one of our better nights out. The atmosphere isn’t quite as perfectly done as a few of the nearby spots, but the food, everything we had, was really excellent and the service was solid. We’ll be back!

Since Gerard Bellver took over as Executive Chef, this is a completely different place. All the ambiance from the “Blanco” family, and a truly memorable culinary experience

Highly Recommended!!
The experience at Blanco Castelar was Superb and completely well crafted. This was our second time there, although is Marcelo’s favorite in Polanco. The Casa Domit where is located is a refurbished old Casona, exquisitely decorated that greets you like royalty. The service is top notch and everything we ate was really delicious
A really nice bread is signal of the craft quality of the place and it was nice. La alcachofa asada es deliciosa, el pulpo punta mita, la burrata, el mero, la costra de rib eye, los taquitos de cochinita, y mucho mas

Very nice when you come in. They will not tell you the price until the check comes. Incredibly rude service without respect for the customers experience, rather a focus on swindling tourists. Demand prices for shots or they will screw you! Ordered shots of tequila and they brought the most expensive stuff without telling the price after the price was asked. Be cautious or avoid this place!

A colleague reserved for our group based on the recommendation from a friend. The very first thing one would notice is the ambiance. The outside is beautiful and the inside too, the seating areas are very well decorated.

They offered us a welcome drink while we waited for our table to be ready, not sure what it was but it was delicious.

We got the Mojito Dorado and Coco Tiki and the Mojito was better. We went heavy on appetizers and got Crudo de hamachi, Croquetas de Hamachi, papas francesca and Fondue Huitlacoche. The fondue and the fries were really good, the croquetas had too much fish smell to it and the sliced hamachi was decent.

For the main course I got the risotto and the portion was just huge which I was not expecting and could not finish it

The dessert we had Praline and chocolate cigar and it was very nice although the ash in the dish did not feel like it was edible.

Overall its a high end restaurant with a great ambiance and decent food. Worth going for once.
