I live in Oaxaca. I ordered 2 tamales oaxaqueños. They were not. Perhaps they call them that because of the way they were wrapped. The meager fillings were sprinkled on top, not stuffed inside. The taste wasn't bad when you could taste anything but masa.

Good tastee food. All are wellcome by Maru the owner herself who treats you like an old beloved friend. La chapata de zetas is a must to taste. Enjoy Coyoacan!

Best place to have lunch after visiting Kahlo's museum. Excellent for backpackers! Worth the money. I keep going back for the "mexican crepes" Marquesitas, which every time I have it, it is just as good. Good portions, not too big which I prefer. Service is fine dining standards, very friendly owner and accommodating. Coffee is fab!
