There are many beautiful churches in Merida, but this one is the most beautiful in my opinion. The photos and videos online are incomparable to seeing it in person. The artwork, retablo, statuary, stonework, and stenciling are all first rate.

Amazing and breath taking, this is just a couple of ways to describe Iglesia El Jesús! I was blown away when I walked into this church, it is so BEAUTIFUL! I couldn't help sitting for a while to take it all in. Don't judge a book by it's cover!
