The reason why I gave them 3 stars and not 5 is because there is no AC anywhere!!! Except in the room, it gets so, so hot inside, is cooler out in the streets than inside the building. Yes it has open ceilings, but even so it's like a sauna inside! Can't bear to stay in. Rooms are nice, service is outstanding!!! But the heat ruins the whole experience. Come and stay here during winter NEVER during summer, it's crazy hot waking up to 90 degrees

Luz en Yucatan is by far my favorite place to stay in Merida. A calm, cool oasis so close to the Centro and great eats in Santa Lucia. Each room is unique and amazing in its own way. The staff are super friendly and helpful. Just a beautiful place to stay!

Gorgeous boutique hotel with a wonderful pool, fantastic staff and great location!
Steps off of Plaza Santa Lucia with wonderful shops and restaurants. Whether you want to stay at the pool, walk to the main square or go on an excursion the team will help you out. It’s a perfect basecamp in Merida and i can’t wait to return.

We stayed in this lovely boutique hotel back in August. It was wonderful. Every one of the staff and owners were the loveliest people. I cannot recommend Luz en Yucatan enough. Safe, clean, and close to everything! We had the back room with a small patio out by the pool. Great for the kids!

Best place I stayed in the Yucatan. Room was great, staff were all friendly and helpful. The pool was nice and had plenty of seating. Highly recommend.

I RECOMMEND THAT PLACE!

The location couldn't be better.
The shower is big and there is hot water.
The pool is so nice and we met other guests there since it is located in the middle so everyone comes.
The style is beautiful.
They provide pure water.
They are so nice and helping with tour and everything.
The have a safe in their office.
The place is so secured.
The garden is welcoming.
They provided fresh beers in the fridge when we arrived and tequila tasting.
They have a kitchen that you can use.
Everything is so clean and the room service is good.
It was just wonderful be there. We enjoyed the room so badly.

Wonderful hotel, great location, very clean. I am so happy we decided to stay here instead of some hotel resort. Honestly the best hotel I have ever been to. The staff is the kindest I ever came across, they made us feel so welcome and helped out with everything. We were supposed to stay there for 2 nights but ended up staying 4. Most of the rooms have their own terrace and there are free drinks by the pool.
If I ever go to Merida again, this is where I’m staying ????????
