Really nice hotel. Awesome location. I would give it 5 stars, but there was some hair in the bed.

Great location and heartless customer service.
We arrived early and were told that we couldn’t check in until 3pm, which is fine. But there was no attempt whatsoever to provide good customer service at the reception desk. No smile, no “welcome to the hotel,” and not even a slight effort to say they’ll call us when the room is ready or at least tell us that we can call to see if the room is ready. We’re staying at one of the suites on the 6th floor but I regret coming to this hotel. When you arrive tired after a flight, the last thing you want is the kind of reception this hotel provides, which is to say that they treat you like you’re just a bother to them. There were 3 or 4 people working at the front desk and just my husband and I were the only guests trying to check in so they weren’t even busy. None of the people at the desk smiled or tried to be helpful in any way.
Go to a hotel where they understand you’re a paying customer and they want to make your stay pleasant — at least because it’s part of their job to be courteous. I should have known this place would suck after reading some of the reviews. Live and learn. Four nights at this place seem like an eternity, even in a nice room. You won’t find any heart or soul at this place or kind Mexican hospitality. Worst reception ever!

What an amazing experience again! My family makes a yearly trip to Guadalajara to visit family and for our little one to play with her cousins. Every chance we get, we try to stay here at the NH Collection Centro since it's so convenient to everything we need to get to. We love being literally a stone's throw away from the cathedral and being able to stroll the promenade. The staff is amazing including Eduardo who tries to make every effort to be accommodating. You feel like you are the most important person in the hotel from when you check in till you check out. The only downside to this location is the fact that yes there are sometimes homeless in the area and they sometimes make you feel uncomfortable but the security at the hotel is there to make sure you feel safe at all times. Ramon the manager also is very in tune to everything that goes on in his establishment and is eager to provide excellent service as well. I look forward to coming back again next year!

We liked the hotel esthetic and the service and breakfast was great but the terrace rooms are too small and there is limited street access to the hotel which was a little confusing and quite difficult when you check out since they don't park the car for you (parking is about 150 pesos in and out daily). The location is great for someone who wants to be by the center but I would suggest to avoid the terrace rooms and go for a bigger one.

Location of the hotel is great, that is pretty much it. At the check in we were asked if we want terrace with a nice view for only additional $21. We said ok, would be nice to enjoy city. They took us to the room on 5th floor that still had residents inside, then went up to 6th floor. Our terrace view had only roof view of neighboring building. The room was smaller than then one we initially/accidentally entered. We just arrived and had no cash to tip bellboy but he kept sort slowing down and looking back if we are giving money or not. Not sure i enjoyed experience much

Nice hotel in Guadalajara’s downtown. As every NH hotel staff is attentive and friendly. Rooms are more on the size of European hotels. Small but with all the amenities you need. Our room had a huge terrace that overlook Guadalajara’s cathedral and was extremely clean. Breakfast was really good in accordance with NH philosophy to display local food so you could have for breakfast a torta ahogada, which is a traditional dish of Guadalajara. Also the small yogurt dishes were delicious. The only thing that bother me was a tall bellboy that trying to being friendly became a little nosy to me and that extort taxi drivers of taxi stand five. We notice it several times as the taxi driver charged us more than what it was the established fare with the hotel. Hope they fixed this detail as it gives a bad image to the hotel.

This hotel is like staying at a fancy art exhibition. Service is excellent and it is a great escape from the madness outside. Great location to many locations and restaurants.
