Excellent staff: Welcoming, kind, gracious, and willing to help with anything.
Free breakfast: Options are limited and some days there is toast, some days flour tortillas. There are always eggs and tortilla chips, beans, pineapple and melon chunks, flour tortillas, and cereal. It would be nice to have jam or waffles or muffins/conchas. The juices served were very sweet and bubblegum-like; do not recommend.
Vending machines: On our floor (6th) and on the ground floor. The ground floor vending machine wasn't refrigerated so warm Coke (but only 14 pesos a can). But the one on our floor was fully stocked.
Elevator: We stayed for 2 weeks. There was only one elevator in service for those 2 weeks but everyone staying there was very relaxed and the hotel workers always allowed you to get into the elevator first.
Pool: There is a shaded area with a few lounges and chairs by the pool, but we found it too hot to even enjoy being out of the water!
Rooms: Modern and updated. Bed covers were so/so but the pillows were extremely comfortable. Desk in the room. Sun-blocking shades were SO GOOD, especially since the sun is so hot in Juarez. The AC worked very well. The only problem was that we had to visit the front desk twice to get new keycards since our door stopped recognizing them!
Shower: Water pressure is low but not too bad. Bathroom was bright and clean.
Area: It's the best place to stay for a visit to the U.S. Consulate. You are not only a few mins walk to the Consulate, but less than 5min from the medical place for your exam, and about 8-10min to the biometrics place. The restaurant Barrigas is directly next door and serves up filling Mexican food, but the menu is very meat-heavy and there is no AC. But we ate here multiple times during our 2 weeks. The hotel is also very close to Denny's, Wendy's, and the giant shopping mall across the road. Be careful crossing the road because people drive EXTREMELY fast and you can run to the median strip and be stuck there for a while!! Instead, walk a few minutes in the direction of the U.S. Consulate and take the pedestrian bridge. The mall has a nice food court (McDonalds, Mexican, Chinese, hotdogs, Subway) with a cute Japanese knick knack store, sushi place, Italian place, bookstore, Sears, and a super new movie cinema with 4DX.
Gym: It was old and too warm inside to use. We didn't bother using it.
Perks: free breakfast everyday, free bottled water, and extremely helpful and friendly staff. VERY close to the U.S. Consulate and any other place you need to go for an immigration visit.
