I had some skepticism about coming to the resort after reading some of the reviews about AC being a problem. Overall, will start by stating my experience was good. I had an Ocean view room with balcony and AC was never an issue in the room. The reservation team (Sofie) did a great job adding notes prior to arrival and Faustino at the reservation desk gave me a nicely placed room with a great view. The beach was by far a 5/5 experience for me. If you want to relax, swim and have amazing service by all the waiters I say this resort is amazing. The people are kind and NO they do not expect tips but absolutely deserve them for their hard work. The culture of the Mexican people is inviting and full of life. Some suggestions that I can make for the future are as follows; add some Mexican variety to the Gaucho Grill
house, once renovations are complete a little more AC in the hotel common areas would definitely keep all guests refreshed, provide better Spa promotions to attract more business then guests crossing across the street for half the price and good service and the most important any health provider coming on site to do a Covid test should be provided hand written passport information from the hotel (for certificate purposes) and a photo verification done in person only; this is standard in many countries for hotels to only have passport photo copies. I understand there are renovations coming and I am sure these will be amazing upgrades. Overall, thank you Dreams Sands and your staff for giving me a much needed relax time in tour little paradise. I look forward to bringing my son with me next time. Thank you.

Dream Sands was an amazing resort, especially for our first all-inclusive! We were there for our honeymoon and everyone was super friendly and accommodating. They made sure to make us feel welcomed and to provide services and answer any questions we had. The food and drinks were great, the views of the ocean amazing and the resort itself was very safe and clean. They gave us lots of recommendations for local excursions and ensured that we were set with whatever we needed. My only complaint is that the party music at the pool was loud and played all day long, starting at like 8 am. I think it's fine for like late morning, but it got a bit old every single day starting so early, especially when you can hear it from your room. Anyway, overall we really enjoyed our experience and were very glad we chose Dream Sands!

This resort was very clean and the staff were phenomenal. The ones we remember the most were Laura, Alejandro, and Ricardo at the lobby bar (+ patio/beach) - very personable and always asked to make sure everything was going well. The hotel is not brand new so we did have some difficulty with our room, when presented to the front desk they offered to relocate us and allowed us to check the new room before accepting. Overall we enjoyed the trip quite a bit, unlike some of the other resorts we've stayed at in the past, the pools and beach were very close to the hotel with little walking... we're not old but when it comes to simply having convenience of location, this one hit the mark! I'm editing because we saw very little if no seaweed at the resort, they do have it roped off which I expect helps.

My wife and I stayed at Dreams Sands 6/7/22 - 6/12/22. We loved how close the resort is to the ocean. We upgraded to the preferred. All in all I really didn't feel like the preferred was worth it. We wanted a balcony with a full Ocean view but even if you upgraded to a balcony it was a good chance we would have a guy in the full Ocean view without the preferred. The upgrade in alcoholic drinks wasn't worth it because they were watered down. We thought the food selection was pretty good not great. No complaints with the service and everyone at the resort who worked there seemed really nice. Wish they had the activities schedule somewhere else beside the TV screen before you got on the elevator. Now that a lobby and the elevator was extremely hot also the restaurants were uncomfortable. Warmer inside than what we do are use to and we live in Florida. With that heat in the lobby, the restaurants and the elevator is a breeding ground for germs. The bedrooms is on a set temperature I was given a fan because I'm used to sleeping with the room nice and cool. Could have earned 4⭐ if the resort would uses AC more. I wasn't the only one at the time complaining about the heat in the lobby and the elevator.

The hotel is very old and the rooms aren’t nice at all. We ended up upgrading to an ocean front view. The elevators are super old, small and slow. So be prepared to wait forever in the morning when everyone is waking up. The food and drinks weren’t bad. The buffet is super strict with the mask and the hostess don’t even want to provide you with one unless you make a scene. The beach is small and super rocky when entering but if you move further out then it’s fine. Two decent sized pools but the area surrounding the pools are small. They never had empty chairs available and people put there stuff down early to reserve it. No lounges only some tables around the lobby where the bar is. Don’t expect lively entertainment here, the entertainment actually sucks compared to my other resort experiences. If you want to have fun then you’ll have to leave the resort at night. Overall, if you want to relax by the beach and pool and nothing else then I’d recommend but other than that.. I will never be returning here again.

We had the most amazing time. Though the rooms are dated they were extremely clean. The staff was so welcoming and helpful. The food wasn’t the best but I can’t say that’s the girls fault. All the food that we had within the area was mediocre minus a couple of places. We enjoyed the spa, it was actually the BEST massage I’ve ever had! All in all we LOVED dream sands.

Positive: The beach was amazing. East to enjoy and walk on. Great location near shops. The food was delicious. The staff friendly. Negative: Preferred price and option was not worth it. They did not check at the preferred entrance on the beach or bar to make sure you payed for a preferred room. There was no control anyone and everyone was allowed in the preferred areas which was upsetting .
