Had a great time with Cthulhu Divers! Nick was super helpful in organizing a dive that we wanted to do, particularly given changing weather circumstances. We ended up not doing reef dives and instead tried cave diving - it was AWESOME! Our divemaster and driver were both great!

I had a great experience with Nick and Cthulhu Divers. Nick provided guidance and catered the dive to my skill level and what I was looking to see. He helped get my gear set up, it had been 10 years since my last dive so I was out of practice. He was very flexible and adapted to my tight schedule and the weather. I was picked up right on time at the front of my resort and was taken straight to the pier where the boat was ready to go. The dive was fantastic and the reef was great. I had a great experience with Cthulhu Divers and would definitely recommend them to others.

Cthulhu Divers and my instructor Nico are AMAZING. I went to Cancun to finish my SSI diving cert and Nico is a class act. We went to amazing spots to dive and he was a great instructor making sure I knew what I was going to be tested on with informative care. Like most new divers I was a bit nervouse but with him in the water with me I felt very comfortable. I completed my cert officially Open Water Certified and had 4 epic dives. The water was very clear and warm and the photos Nico go will be up on my walls for years to come. He even was kind enough to switch masks with me 2x to make sure I had a good experience. I would highly reccoment Cthulhu Diver and Nico! The hotel pick up made it super easy too.

Outstanding white glove service!!!
I have been diving for more than 20 years and can distinguish between mediocre and advanced services provided by the dive operators.
To start, I called all the dive operators in the area and asked them simple questions: destinations, how often the boats leave, how do they compose dive groups and prices.
My hotel operator and majority of the dive shops take you only to 1 place: the underwater museum – which is a boring shallow dive with sculptures on the sandy bottom ☹ and not to mention that some of them dive only a couple of times during the week.
In contrast, Cthulhu has more than 3 boats going to different destinations simultaneously every day.
The boats aren’t crowded and I even had the chance to dive with 2 other divers– practically a private dive.
I observed for a week that company did not try to throw everyone into one cattle boat, but instead tried to group clients by level and destination preferences.
Also, I observed that in the majority of dives, the captain proposed multiple destinations so divers could choose their preferred one. The dive masters were so professional that they were always around, but they were following you while giving you the freedom to enjoy on your own.
I had just recovered from covid and in the beginning I was not sure how my lungs would react, so I let Nicolas know about that. Every dive he was non intrusively monitoring me and after that when I felt comfortable again, he gave me all the freedom I wanted– Thank you.
Special thank you to the captains and DM teams: Cancun is a shallow dive area with a strong current so they arranged dives to be drift dives versus pedaling against the current.
I’m so glad that I made the right choice!

Nick is just an amazing instructor. He is super flexible, extremely knowledgeable and very fun. He went over and above to make sure not just me but my whole family (who were not even trying for certification) had absolute blast while also gaining knowledge of scuba diving. Highly recommend!!

Cthulhu Divers was a fantastic company to get my certification with! My sister and I were both looking to get our certifications in order to dive in Cancun, and we were not disappointed! Nick provided an safe, simple, and enjoyable experience for us! He picked us up from our hotel and was very instructive. He prioritized our safety at all times without risking the fun! I am extremely happy to be certified and I would not have changed anything about the experience! Thank you, Nick!

Super professional staff. Very friendly. Our guides, Vicente and Victoria had thorough knowledge of the local dive spots. Serious, safety minded, and very generous in providing technical feedback and tips to improve my technique. I thoroughly enjoyed the dive experience, and came out a better diver thanks to them. Highly recommended!
