An interesting Yucatan restaurant recommended by one of my Mexician colleague. Went there for lunch and it was very good. The place was clean, waiters and waitresses dressed in traditional clothing which also matched with the traditional decor they have. The service of this place was excellent, the waiter was very attentive and friendly.
With my limited Spanish, all the food was ordered by my colleague and everything was tasty. The soup (sopa de lima) was nice and tangy, it had strips of fried tortillas in there which made it a little bit like having noodles (but not soggy at all).
The sopes/tacos were good, really liked the pickled onions on top.
The papadzules were really tasty, the creaminess of the pumpkin seed sauce and the tangy sweet, a little spicy tomato sauce make this dish taste so good. Even though it is a vegetarian dish, it definitely outshone all the other dishes I had there.
Highly recommended.
