This is my go to breakfast spot in Tj...
The food is delicious, the staff is very friendly and talk about fast service ????...
It normally gets really pack so if you can get there before 9am, fast seating... or else you have to wait ✋... Face mask is still required.

Bien rica la comida y el servicio super rapido, I wish they have this good food in the States.

"La Espadaña" the structure and design of the place is great, but the food used to better. The food was bad, the drinks were awful, the waiters were okay just doing their job, when we first arrive it wasn't crowded and still the food wasn't ready for about 25 minutes, would definitely not comeback nor recommend plus there was an annoying fly but oh well, the background music was good though.
Hopefully they can go back to when the food was good, there's always room for improvement for such an iconic place since 1990.

combined with a beautiful atmosphere and delicious food I'd recommend dressing business casual not to feel out of place. the food is distinctively tasty with a wide variety of pastries. there is a line but worth waiting for. this facility is handicap friendly and plenty of room for wheelchairs and walkers.

I had the sopes plate and they were good but I would prefer not being soggy and it would be amazing it they had avocado on them. Great customer service!

This place was packed when we went there so make sure to list yourself at the reception. I attended this restaurant with three people and we got well served by the waiters. Even though it was a weekday the place was packed. I ordered chilaquiles with eggs on top and Cafe de la Hoya. The pricing was for me fair for the location and the place was kept nice and clean and there is a lot of parking, just make sure to go in on the side street not the main Boulevard Street. The style is colonial and there are a lot of ornaments in the walls that create an ambient that take you back in time. There's a great place to bring your family, or go with your friends. The restrooms were extremely clean, surprisingly. A 5/5 experience.

My partner and I decided to try La Espanada for dinner for my birthday. The outside ambiance is super rustic as if you are truly walking into a lovely old style Spanish Villa. The hostess and our waiter were super friendly and sat us quickly. We started dinner with the queso fundido with the mix of green peppers, chorizo and mushrooms. It was good, but the cheese was not melted enough making it hard to share. For dinner, I got the chicken fajita and my partner got the pechuga de pollo al chipotle con crema. I feel as if I definitely had a U.S. perspective of what a fajita should look like (brought out on a sizzling hot pan), but despite this it was pretty tasty. My partner said the Chipotle chicken was okay, but it had WAY too much of the sauce, also the vegetables on the side did not appear fresh. All and all I believe this restaurant has a lovely staff and atmosphere, but the food was just okay. I have read that the breakfast here is good so I will definitely be back to try that!
