Great public space. The people are very friendly. Everyone was enjoying the afternoon. Very close to the mercado, many shops, and eateries close by.

You can buy rice to feed the pigeons, and nuts for the squirrels. Children love feeding both. There are two restaurants in the plaza, fancy restaurants in the hotels, and other local foods at stands. Beautiful place to sit, rest, and people watch.

A must if you want to get a picture with the I heart Tampico. The plaza was clean and there seemed to be a lot of security so you feel pretty safe walking around those areas.

Most beautiful place. Recomend for visit and go to Cathedral. Here is a picture from old buildings.

Obligatory tourist spot. Well maintained and clean. The only place I have seen beggars and homeless people in Tampico. We got harassed several times at our sidewalk cafe table, but it's a tourist spot in an old downtown area, kind of expected. I didn't see any security or police. Maybe a few police to chase away the beggars might be useful.
