For those whom appreciate culture, Spanish colonial architecture and somehow enjoy experience a bit of a classy style of the late XIX century post French intervention interior design, this is a great place. The room I was staying still conserves old floor tile in form of square stars; 2 to 3 feet masonry walls. Is not for people that likes comfort and bunch of amenities, is for those whom appreciate style, culture and architecture. Other thoughts, the ceilings "vitrales" even if are current made, I add up extra luxury to the place.

The staff was very friendly, the traditional aspect of the decor and architecture was there but the hotel sucked. The hot water took forever to come out initially leading me to believe it didn't work. The spigot on the shower was clogged or broken, it sprayed in every direction except on you. Many things were rusty and or in nonworking condition. The plugs didn't stay plugged to charge phone. The cable/tv didn't work. I could turn the TV on but not off. No AC. The hot tub/jacuzzi was dirty looking and appeared to be broken. The bed is also really hard and if other guests are staying, you can hear everything outside. I had a 4 night stay booked but only stayed 1 night. Parking is far away.

Dirty sheets with hair. But otherwise beautiful. Hotel Hidalgo, where we moved to after one night, is so much nicer.

Lovely architecture and friendly staff, but they dont know or dont care enough to answer any basic question about the city or activities around.

Do not expect having hot water. Clumsy women staff at the front desk, however it has a great location.
