Was our Anniversary and we didn’t regret that we found this great place, probably best for us. Food, service and ambiance was excellent. We will be back 100%. Strongly recommend this restaurant.

With wonderful food and wine experience and excellent service, Augurio Restaurants is perfectly located in the Centro Historico de Puebla one of the best restaurants in the area. we had the opportunity to enjoy traditional mole poblano along with the chiles en nogada, which recipe has been in the family for generations, we had tostada de patita delish and the bone marrow was just foorgasmic! So happy we had the chance to visit Augurio in Puebla!

I had an amazing meal at Augurio. My only regret is that I left this restaurant until the last night of my visit to Puebla. I'll definately return on my next visit. Amazing food and service.

I’m honestly surprised that this restaurant is rated as highly as it is. I went there with family for dinner. To start with some highlights, the decor is cute and the margarita especial is delicious (though weak on alcohol). In general, though - with the exception of salads and a vegetable dish- their menu is identical to almost any other place in Puebla and their rendition of familiar dishes is not particularly skilled or particularly good —despite higher prices. I had the Mole Poblano as an entrée, and I thought is was just OK. Not as good as much cheaper and less chic restaurants where I ordered it. The service was also mediocre: slow and inattentive, even though the restaurant wasn’t busy.

Compared to other restaurants in Puebla, the service here was noticeably terrible. It’s as if they didn’t care that we were there. In every other restaurants in this lovely city, the servers went out of their way to provide excellent service. And it wasn’t busy so there was no reason!

Went there for breakfast. Good tasting food. Great service and atmosphere. They were kind enough to accommodate my cocktail requests. It is a very good spot to take out of town people.
The restaurant is in a good downtown location with other interesting spots nearby.
Try the mole, molletes and the deserts

Went here on our first evening in Puebla and had a wonderful evening. Were greeted very kindly and given the cocktaip menu for an apparetiv. The augurio (reposado, ancho verde, bitters and pipocha) and nueve oriente are highly recommended! I went with shrimps "breaded" in pork cracklings as an entree followed by a 36 hour braises beef rib on a spicy yet fresh red mole. Definetely enjoyed that evening and we can highly recommend this place. I rate the Augurio and its mole above the classical El Mural de los Publanos and inbetween the Casa Barroca. If you have to choose go to the Augurio or Casa Barocca!
