Nice central location and steps away from the beach. Good snorkeling while I was there.
Good size room. The worst thing is the noise. There was non stop construction going on
next door from about 8 am to 7pm. Very Loud ! You also hear music and singing from 5 th
street and it lasts most of the night. Also, I`m not sure if hot water is working for my room.
It did not seem to heat up and the shower drain was very slow and left odor in bathroom.

So booking this hotel I had such low expectations based on all the reviews I'd read.
Got to the hotel at 10am. Early check-in was not a problem. There was no help to bring bags in or up the stairs... Again I was prepared to hate my room but was pleasantly surprised. The room was lovely and spacious, Nice big bed, lounge area with a fridge and microwave. The bathroom was clean and had 2 little bars of soap and shampoo. I even bought my own air freshener as some people had complained the rooms smelt. My room didn't. Our balcony looking to the left you could see 5th avenue and to the right you saw the sea. The location was perfect. At night yes you could hear all the noise from 5th avenue, but by then I was so shattered that it didn't bother me and I fell asleep anyway. It was also good for people watching in the evening. The room was cleaned every day by Amelia. Yes they do use the pool for diving lessons. I saw this over the 2 weeks I was there, maybe I was lucky, but they never used it whilst I was in the pool or wanted to go in. I saw the pool being clean often and didn't have any problems letting my 4 year old use them.
Yes the hotel does have its faults. If you're expecting a 5* hotel then this isn't the place for you. I enjoyed my stay here and would definitely use it again if I was to go back to this area. My room was clean, the hotel was central to everything. Taxi stand right outside, Walmart 5 minutes drive away. All the restaurants and shops you could want. The beach was less than a minute walk away. I won't say the hotel is perfect, yes it does have faults and some things need improvement. But I didn't go all that way on holiday to sit in a room and find all the faults. You're in Mexico if you want a big fancy hotel then be prepared to pay big money. There is a water cooler in the lobby, where you can fill your bottle. The staff were as helpful when they could. I requested a late check out which wasn't a problem.

AVOID! I know better than to stay in a tourist trap but I got into town late and just needed to crash. I guess the guy at the front desk saw an easy target so he told me the credit card machine was not working and he could only take cash (seriously, your business depends on credit cards. I do not believe the service was down for one minute). I asked a different guy at the front desk the next morning if the machine was working and he hesitated and then smiled and said no (he knew the deal). Pretty sure they’re just pocketing the cash. As for the room and facilities, it’s a dump. Might have been nice in the 80s or 90s but I think that’s when they stopped even trying to keep the place up. TV was barely balancing on a single shelf bracket. Like, if you touched it you had to rebalance it so it didn’t come crashing down. Decent size room with a kitchen and nice kitchen counter but no flat wear at all. No spoon fork or knife, no plates or bowls, let alone a coffee maker. Also, you absolutely will hear the loud bars and clubs next door till about 1am. If you’re here to get drunk and pass out, you might not care. But if you want to be comfortable in a pleasant atmosphere then go elsewhere. Also, the shower head leaked out of the sides and sprayed water everywhere thus the moldy ceiling and wet floor (see pics). If this place had cost like $40 or $50 I wouldn’t complaint so much but the dude charged me $90 US and there are so many much nicer places in town for much less.

Nice hotel very close to the sand, unfortunately my money disapeared inside my room and the hotel manager did not even care about, that was very disrespectful. I dont expect them to give money back but at least care and say sorry but nope, she just ignored and said was not her problem

The manager is very professional and accommodating. However some rooms are close to the Main Avenue and it could be noisy at night until about 4 in the morning. Water pressure is non existent, water is hard, rooms connect to the restaurant and is noisey until 1030pm, you can hear your neighbors scream and argue all night. Walls are thin. There isn't any special amenities. I will not be returning to this hotel. It sucks to pay this $$ for anything but relaxation.

My first trip to Playa and I couldn't be more pleased with the accommodations. The room is spacious and near the pool. The manager and staff have gone out of their way to provide customized service. Made to order breakfast is included. And may I mention the most fabulous hand crafted margaritas on the planet.

I only went to the restaurant and the food was ok not really great.
hot cakes were great but the chilaquiles spicy and just not good taste nor consistency.
REALLY BAD:
We had our breakfast there and they would let us use the pool if our restaurant check was more than 200 pesos each one of us. So since my total didn't make it to that amount, they wouldn't let me get in the pool!!! She just let one of us three get in! It's stupid how they wouldn't let us get in by a 15 something pesos difference!
