This place is a must stay. It's located within a few feet of the main strip (Centro), and the staff is fantastic. Can't say enough good things about the staff. Sandra was the best, and the diner crew was so friendly and personable. They have a rooftop bar/pool area with a kitchen and music. Some of the most fun we had in Playa Del Carmen was here, because they help facilitate a very welcoming atmosphere. There was a pop-up model show, and it seems like they have random events fairly often. The room was awesome, and even though there wasn't much of a view, the amenities and staff more than made up for it. Sandra at the front was so insightful and helpful with suggestions and assiting with our itinerary. If you're balling on a budget, this place is definitely worth the money.

I stayed here for the last leg of my trip and truly I couldn’t have chosen a better place. Safety was top notch, there was someone at the front gate at all times. Being right near 5th ave was amazing, great access to all nightlife, shopping, and local food and restaurants. I am from New Orleans so the noise, partying, or daily sirens to clear people from the street did not bother me at all. Rooftop pool with spectacular views, great drinks. Staff was amazing, Emmanuel, Yuri, and other colleagues gave 5 star service at all times. I will be returning!

I was a little hesitant to stay here with some of the recent reviews about safety and fraud, however, I am glad we did and had an excellent stay at the palm. Management was helpful, food was great and location is perfect. Although it was in the center of nightlife, it was peaceful inside and quiet (no problems sleeping at night). I felt safe and am glad to have stayed here.

My sink was leaking water onto the floor. Hotel room seemed a bit outdated for the price. I probably will stay at another hotel next time. The Pool day pass was the best part! Service was excellent. DJ was really good as he played Reggaeton, top-40, Salsa, Cumbia, funk and little house and techno towards the end of the night. Will definitely return. ????

Nice large rooms but service in the restaurant is appalling! Incompetency plus! Only one decent server who actually works at the pool- the tall bald guy ( Sorry don't know his name) but he was the only one that was on the ball. The rest were an utter waste of space not knowing nor caring wot to do when there was customers! Reception staff were friendly but I was horrified to be charged $100aud for "cleaning of a face washer u0026 a towel that had sunscreen on it"!! Upon check out. Really? I don't even own sunscreen! Where are the pictures of it! And it was handwritten on a note the receptionist held u0026 I was not given any paperwork or receipt of payment for this! Ripped off u0026 would NEVER recommend this place.

I came to the restaurant, did not stay in the hotel. They didn't have half the food on their menu. No one barely kknew what the menu was or how much the Mimosas from the sign out front were. Ordered a meal, told them we wanted No Spicy, they brought something very spicy.
Mind you that I am a native Spanish speaker.

Super clean, big and beautiful rooms. Amazing rooftop! Placement of the hotel is amazing.
Only problem is a lot of mosquitoes.
