Beautiful architecture and history, if you are looking to go back in time this is great, if you are looking for luxury this is not but is very comfortable, the beds are very clean and new, the staff is 6 stars great service.

Building is beautiful
The Rooms need update like 5 years ago
For their rates its terrible how old the rooms are to be charging those rates
Bathrooms seems from 1980
And super small

Seems this chain of hotels has not invested in their properties for a long time
The one in CDMX in Polanco has the same situation
OUTDATED ROOMS WITH HIGH RATES THATS RIPPING OFF PEOPLE

UPDATE ASAP NOT WORTH YOUR MONEY theres much better properties in Oaxaca worth the money they charge

We spent a lovely afternoon here in the Orange Gardens, a quiet courtyard with a fountain. Decent coffee and delicious cakes, but a beautiful historic location. The hotel is in a former convent (Santa Catalina) built in the 1570s. Quite a stunning site occupying most of a block on 5 de Mayo and a short walk from the town centre and the beautiful church of Santo Domingo. Open air swimming pool for guests.

This place is so great. We are currently here in Oaxaca staying partly for our honeymoon. A champagne bottle on ice was waiting in our room!! We were greeted with special mezcal cocktails!! The staff brings us perfect little treats everyday— delicious biscuits with our coffees, fruit compotes with fresh cream, cream puffs, the list goes on. STAY HERE! Perfect location too, in the middle of everything. We feel very looked after. Also remember to tip well!!

Service was spotty. Were never asked if we liked our dishes. Had to flag down waiters to get second drinks. Food was average, worse than was expected for a good hotel

I had lunch here two days ago. While the surroundings were very nice and staff were attentive the food was poor. I had the shrimp fettuccine and the shrimp were like rubber and very hard to cut. When I did try a piece of shrimp it was only warm and clearly was not freshly cooked. Had I been in the states I would have sent it back without question but I don’t speak Spanish so I took the easy way out. I honestly believe I was served shrimp that had been previously cooked and were just heated up and repurposed. Needless to say I ate none of the shrimp and I’m not really that picky.

This hotel is incredible, luxurious, and so unique!! The rooms are gorgeous and very comfortable, the grounds are immaculate, the pool is fabulous, all the food is unbelievable good, and the service is unbeatable! The location is right in the center of the gorgeous old part of town and is easy walking distance to many great shops and restaurants. We will definitely stay here again!!
