This is a great place to sit outside, have a couple of beers and enjoy some tasty guacamole. A wide variety of music plays in the background, not intrusive at all. Attentive service rounds out the positive experiences.

Nice antojitos del isthmus, and good drinks, at a square deal price. Near many of the nicer small hotels, and with easy Street parking.

This is a great little place! Sitting outside in the evening is a pleasant introduction to the Oaxaca street scene. The food is excellent - small plate style and great for sharing - and the service is charming (even if you don't speak Spanish very well).

I am back in Australia now and missing the food and atmosphere of this brilliant little restaurant, which alas I discovered too late while in Oaxaca....sigh....delicious. The best food I had in Mexico. Thank you XXXXX Would you perchance consider setting up a branch in Melbourne?

After reading the glowingly positive reviews here, I was dismayed and disappointed by our own experience.
The menu is very limited, the outdoor chairs are rickety and uncomfortable, and the two lads in charge were inattentive to our preferences. I ordered a pulque natural, and it arrived with chopped pineapple in it. The effect was acidic.

The bolitos de queso were cheese flavored pasty flour balls. The sopa azteca was undistinguished.

My wife ordered garnachas de res, but they never came. (A blessing, we think!).

Not only would we not return to this "restaurant" (really more of a snack and beer bar) but my confidence in Google reviews is very damaged.

It's a tiny, cozy and authentic place with bite sized food cooked in the same room. Great plates to share with two people. You can also sit outside and watch the oaxacan street life.

A wonderful, humble little cafe. During my three day stay in the neighbourhood, Francisco and Root helped me out several times with advice, directions and companionship (particularly when I was locked out of my hostel!). On my last day, Francisco sang me a very touching song from his childhood. ¡Viva Nanixhe!
