Wow. One of the best meals we had in 6 weeks in Mexico.
The rib with dark mole is sensational, and the tomato salad with 6 types of tomato is fantastic (even if that isn't something you would normally go for I would really recommend it!)
Service was friendly and attentive. Tables in the main courtyard seemed to have the best atmosphere if you have an option.
Good quality Mexican wine served by the glass.
The staff also spoke very good English incase your Spanish is a bit rusty!
Reasonable prices for the quality.

BEST MEAL!! We loved the tomato salad, cheese squash blossom enchiladas with two moles- the best we have had in Oaxaca. Try t her fermented honey drink, lemonada and coffee. We hit all the big name hard to get into restaurants and this was hands down the best food and service. We just walked in for lunch and were pleasantly surprised- actually blown away!!

We came here for lunch and really enjoyed the meal and atmosphere. We received complimentary salsa and tortilla chips and we shared the guacamole, Oaxacan tomatoes on pureed beets (so many varieties, fresh and delicious) and the grilled fish of the day with vegetables and rice (really good). Staff are warm and the space is beautiful too.

We tried just about every item on their lunch menu and everything was phenomenal! This restaurant was more of an experience than just food. The chefs were welcoming and passionate about explaining the food and how it was prepared and curated every aspect of our stay with details. This is a must in Oaxaca!

One of my all time favorite restaurant in Oaxaca. I just learned that they have moved to a newer and bigger location since I visited in June. The tomato salad is still amazing. They now have a tomato room!! Everything is very reasonably priced. Highly recommended!

Absolutely incredible food. We had the grilled fish of the day with rice and vegetables, quelite soup, and a fresh tomato dish in beet sauce. Each dish was exquisite. The rice was probably the best I’ve had for a dining experience. The quelite soup with squash blossoms was delicate and comforting. The tomato dish was simple, but so fresh and flavorful. A must-try for anyone visiting Oaxaca.

Great Oaxacan cuisine restaurant with some dishes you won’t find anywhere. The tomato salad is worth the try and guava mole is delicious but so little mole on the plate. The yellow mole with mushrooms on the other hand is almost like a soup and with a bit of a spice kick. I’d recommend to skip the tamales though. Also go for the drinks, they have lots of local and unique options such as pulque and tepache
