Like many mentioned, you get what you pay for but they could do better for the price. If they can’t afford to upgrade furniture or even provide you with a hand towel, the least they can do is maintain what they have in the rooms in good conditions. First day I almost had the ceiling fan lightbulb glass cover drop on my head. It was so hot in the room and felt relieve to see a ceiling fan. Well the excitement ended in seconds. As soon as I turned it on because it’s so unstable and loud the glass just fell and shatter. There was glass all over the floor and beds. Fan needs to be kept at very low speed because if you increase speed you will think there is a helicopter over your head. It’s so loud! This was room 106. Also don’t stay in the rooms facing the main road if you want peace and quiet; it is loud all day, late at night and early in the morning. Plus the building across is a government building and they have security/police 24/7 and you will hear them talk at night. So in conclusion if you want to stay at a great location, noisy, bare minimal amenities, loud fans, mold all over the shower, and with 1 single plug outlet in the room and one in bedroom then this is the hotel for you.

Here you are really just paying for the location which is fantastic. However, everything else is just bare bones. They don’t even give you a hand towel or bath mat. Just two small towels for the shower. The bed is quiet small for a double and the whole hotel echoes so when people shut their doors, talk in the hallway everything is really loud.

Book online, because when you book at the reception the prices are more than double. Very good WiFi, nice beds and a perfect location in the middle of the city. It's quite in the rooms, no noise from the streets. But when the neighbours make noise, you here everything. At our last day we dropped off our suitcases at the suitcase room. When we wanted to pick up our suitcases, the guy who brought us to this room, tried to scam us 200 pesos just to store the suitcases there. Obviously he was sneeky and didn't dare to ask our money near the reception or near his co workers. These kind of people try to scam tourists with everything.

Perfect location a few feet away from Zocalo plaza.

Great location! Pretty colonial building. Staff very friendly and accommodating. Major complaint was our room was very small and only 2 accessible electric outlets. The beds 2 twins were like sleeping on a rock. The 2 windows face a interior hallway, not ideal for privacy.

We had one of our worst stays ever. We don't complain normally and are low budget travelers, but here we really felt that we needed to warn people for this hotel. After doing an online booking we received a room which was not the one we booked and had a broken glass in the window to the hallway. This gave a lot of noise into the room and we didn't felt not secure especially for our belongings. We complained and it took us very long to get another room as they were saying first that all rooms were occupied. We received another room which was worse. The window, which was very thin, was looking at a room where all machinery for the hotel was standing. All machines were making terrible noises and restarting every 10 seconde. We had the feeling that we were sleeping in a factory. We had no sleep that night.

Two stars but only because they're friendly and rooms are cheap. I booked 3 nights but only stayed one. Noise echoes and the windows open into the lobby and hallway, no fresh air. No AC, fan sounded like an airplane engine. The beds are so hard, sleeping on the floor might be as comfortable. No hot water. No. Hot. Water... The few hours I did sleep I was attacked by some kind of bugs and have bites all over my legs. I'm really afraid I'll bring home bed bugs if I don't wash all my clothes on returning home.
