The hostel is great except one thing.
The owner gave us a warm welcome even though my partner and I arrived 3 hours before check in time. She let us use our beds too.
There is free drinking water at the kitchen.
Free breakfast is some breads and fresh fruits with coffee.
One thing I didn’t like is mosquitoes in the room. The corridor of the hostel is open air so there is access to the bathroom and room for mosquitoes.
There are a lot of smashed dead mosquitoes on the wall and bed frame which were killed by last guests. When I slept I heard the sound of mosquito and it was so annoying that I couldn’t sleep well. Other guest said the same. You should avoid this place if you are loved by mosquitoes.

There is a chain and lock around the front gate which means you need to ask to be let in or out at any time, even during the day. I checked into the hostel and was given a bed. Went for a walk around town, and came back to find someone else in my bed, they had removed all my things. Was a little annoyed but was asked by staff if I was OK taking another bed. Slightly annoying as the new bed didn't have a bedside light. Wasn't until around 9pm I noticed I had no pillow, so asked at reception. Later again realised I had no top sheet on my bed, and wasn't entirely convinced the bottom sheet had been changed since the last guest on closer inspection. Night staff didn't really understand English, and my Spanish isn't great, so I just took a top sheet and hoped for the best. Facilities overall were nice but seems quite unorganised.

Decent, basic hostel in a good location in Oaxaca City. Good breakfast every morning, nice clean dorm rooms. Great that the showers and toilets are seperate and plentiful.
