Great location with comfortable and clean rooms. The AC is great in the summer. The owner is quite attentive and she is very responsive to any issues that may arise. The location is centrally located for an easy walk to many of Monterrey’s touristy areas.

I would not reccommend this place. It is overpriced, consdering alternatives. The staff are extremely inflexble. I had to go to Mcallen for two days and they refused to keep my bags there. The breakfast is poor and overpriced. There are lots of mosquitos. The room was small and inpossibel to wrk in.

Lovely venue. Extraordinary, beautifully furnished and decorated residence in a very hospitable rural community. We didn’t stay in the Casa as we have friends who also live in the village, but we went on excursions with Antonio u0026 Margarida, who are great hosts. They are very pleasant, adventurous and quite knowledgeable about the local environment, wildlife and history. A great experience!

I reached out to the hostel to inquire about reservations. Our flight was arriving at 11:40 pm and we were concerned about checking in so late. The hostel finally responded in Spanish. I received no response when I posed my question. The hospitality of this establishment is very different from the attitudes of most hostels. I wonder the reason.

Make no mistake this is a restaurant first and a hostel second. I stayed here for two nights and both mornings at 6:30 a.m. the ladies who work in the restaurant were laughing and carrying on incredibly loud... The dormitory is right next door to the kitchen and you get to hear every pot and pan banging against the wall while the worker ladies are in there laughing and joking for the entire morning. I am coming back to Monterrey next week for a few more days but will not be staying here. There's another hostel right next door which I will try for the same price. 240 pesos a night for these dorms. If you like sleep I would highly recommend staying elsewhere! With that said the location is great next to a lot of night life. If it were not for the workers not respecting the guests I would be more than happy to give 5 stars and come back and stay for another week :'(

I booked a 2 night-stay with them, when I got there -before the established time for check-in they told me they had cancelled the whole thing out. Apparently they tried contacting me 4 hours prior to my arrival and since I didn't answer they assumed I wouldn't show up. The reason why I didn't answer is because I was flying at that time to the city. Who cancels a reservation 4 hours prior? On THE SAME DAY? C'mon! That's not decent at all. The clerk at the front desk was useless and almost cynical about it and couldn't solve anything at all. I spoke with the manager I believe and it was the same dead end. I was forced to find another place to stay after 10:00 pm.

I stayed there for a weekend and the rooms are comfortable, clean and reasonably priced. The food was fantastic, I tried the waffles and chilaquiles. Definitely recommend! The location was cool in a historic part of the city. I would happily stay again...!!!
