This location is indeed in an old neighbor. It does take one back a few years. Place was very safe and clean. Lots of bars with music. Mostly soft rock and Pop. Worth the visit.

Barrio Antiguo has nice restaurants, markets, boutique shops and bars. It is within walking distance of downtown Monterrey and Macroplaza. It is well maintained, safe to walk around and fairly clean.

It's marked as a historical place but thats not what you actually get. More like Playa del Carmen's Quinta Avenida. During the day nice restaurants and quaint little cafés, some of which are hipster hotspots, and during the night a bustling collection of clubs. Overall, pretty good. Walk around and you'll find something for you. Anything from tacos to international quisine and really interesting places to look at and visit.

Lovely.
Safe, full of cafés, restaurants, bars and shops.
The architecture is beautiful and you can walk around and see lots of people having their quinceañera, engagement, baptism or birthday photoshoots.
Try Me muero de hambre for a fun meal, a café library for a good pastry or buy some soaps at Colibrí. You wil love it!

If you're going to be in Monterey, you have to check this place out. There are a lot of good places to eat or see live music. It's a good place to visit on Saturday night or during the day on Sunday where they have a market place. There are also various street performers from time to time. (Full disclosure: I am a musician and I have performed there.)

Had a great time. Definitely a must do in Monterrey if you like the bar scene and live music. Beware the traffic, parking, and intoxicated revelers!

There are dedicated spaces for walkin thru the streets, lots of variety of foods and pet friendly.
