This an extraordinary new Basque cousin in Mexico, I believe it's the only place in Mexico who sells old aged cow. In order to enjoy the piece of meat you have to understand why is so precious. Amazing service. And it has a rooftop with a live DJ every day of the week and it closes at 2 am that's perfect for a late night drink

First the good: Place is large and confortable, great set-up, and has multiple spaces within restaurant, including a terrace. Food is good, some dishes (salad, huevos rotos) were just ok, others (fish and roasted vegetables) were outstanding.

Where they fall short: wine list was quite disappointing and over-priced. Nothing outstanding and the good table-stakes wines they had were massively overpriced (Mx$1,200-1,400) for a Mx$ 300-400 bottle. I am not familiar with their Spanish wines, but the experience on Mexican wines makes me think they are bad all around. The garden seating in the back had a weird feel to it, too much smoke from Asado escaping to the room, only had large tables for 8 and many seating only 2-4 people, multiple TVs on wall which seemed out of place. Place has potential, but it is trying to be too many things and does none of them really well.

Excellent restaurant, authentic and really authentic cuisine from País Vasco. I've been twice in País Vasco and this place feels like if you are there. The decor reminds the landscape of the mountains of País Vasco, the food is awesome, made with Mexican ingredients but you feel you're out of the big city. Definitely, a must in la ciudad.

Update:

Second visit, so far so good, nice bacalao al pil pil, mollejas and pantxineta

Shouldn't grade a restaurant for only one plate. However, it's a dining place and the octopus (waiter recommendation and a tricky dish) was dry and tasteless, the highlight of the dish was actually the base -a combination of potato and chistorra- a flavory taste of Spain. The signature cocktail I had was pretty good, but I do love my Jack Daniel's!

I love this experience to taste for first time the Basque food, I recommend you take txuleta (beef) or cochinillo (pork)

The place has great design and service. Sadly the food is super disappointing for meat joint that cant even get the right temperature on the meat, the picture is supposed to be medium and the paella had the rice under cooked.

The service was really good and they tried to right the wrongs bit sadly it's just not good

While their food is pretty tasty, everything else ruined the experience for us. As others have commented here, the service is not good. From the conceited servers making assumptions based on how you are dressed (not kidding) to the manager coming over to our table constantly asking us if we wanted to order a bottle of wine. As others have commented, the seating arrangements (party of two in a circular table for 5) and overall vibe (empty on a Wednesday afternoon) threw us off as well. The price is average to what you would expect to pay in the area. However, for me, their dry aged beef (the main reason why I went) didn't make everything else worthwhile. I recommend you go to other restaurants in the area to get a good steak. There are at least two good Argentinian restaurants a short walk from there.
