Quesadillas with huitlacoche are delicious (don't google what it is).
Not my traditional breakfast option, but who can refuse an invitation to have quesadillas at any hour of the day?
The place is popular. We came relatively early and were seated right away. However, when we were leaving, there was a big hungry crowd.
I chose brain and carne for my quesadillas. My Mexican companion suggested I try huitlacoche too (lack corn, according to him). Recently I've found out it is actually a fungus. However, I can't deny how tasty it is. But there is a chance I wouldn't order it if it wasn't for a translation error.
They serve delicious cafe de olla here as well. I went for guava Boing, which was perfect with hot and spicy food.
There is a wide selection of condiments on the tables — a variety of salsas for any taste. But one option is misleading. What looks precisely like guacamole turned out to be mashed serrano pepper. Luckily, I tolerate spiciness well. But be careful and, maybe, put a bit at a time instead of a generous dollop.
