A true tradition that has survived the test of time (and covid). Delicious Spanish food at its finest, definitely worth trying. Just keep in mind its not the safest area per se, so plan accordingly

Very nice place located very closely to the Monumento a la Revolución in Plaza de la República. We went there on a Saturday afternoon for lunch. It was a hot day, so we sat in the porch by the wall fountain, which made it feel a bit cooler than sitting inside. Bonus points: several small turtles in the fountain entertained the kids. The menu is full of Spanish dishes. We kicked it off with some appetizers: croquetas de jamón, camarones a la romana and gambas al ajillo. Portions were bigger than expected. As main course we shared a risotto with frutti di mare, which tasted delicious but we couldn't finish so we got the leftovers to go. The staff was super attentive and courteous.

Excellent Spanish dishes, great atmosphere and great service. It can be pricey depending on what you order
