Hotel Diplomático

THIS HOTEL IS OLD VERY OLD, looks good outside but the rooms and restaurant is very old fashioned, rooms are clean but the doors for the bathrooms doesn’t work.
Furniture in the room is old and to be replaced
this hotel is Expensive compare to other options in CDMX.
Not coming back to this one for sure.
Food is good, staff is ok

Room 116 has a horrible hard bed and the pillows were all horrible. Our nights sleep was ruined. No bath mat. No access to 5G wireless. Rooms are old. No key for the safe. Not happy with this hotel. Will not be staying here again. To their credit they did locate another hotel for us as they had no other rooms available. We changed to the Stanza and it is leaps and bounds better than the Diplomatico.

The place looks good, but I'm a young man not a middle aged house wife. I came here on the intention of enjoying my time as a young buck but this isn't that kind of place. If I was a family man 4 stars but I'm not. I could have saved a 3rd of what I spent and had a better experience. AC works, but not great, the TV doesn't have many channels nor is it a smart TV. No streaming! Elevator's are also pretty small

Rooms were good size and clean, however the staff at the front desk was not as knowledgeable about the area surrounding the hotel.

I had a reservation with Expedia and they canceled it and charged me more for my stay. I had no wifi that worked in my room and you could hear everything, there was no privacy. I would not stay here especially if you can not speak Spanish, they took advantage of me and lied to the third party and charged me more for the worst room that they had.

Old hotel, but quite ok. Price/quality ratio is actually pretty good

Responsive and friendly staff, low price and good location make it a very good value. My room had a quite noisy air conditioner, but the room was good size and the beds, bath and fridge were all fine.

Originally, I said good location, but upon thinking about the horrible traffic in Mexico City oh, it was difficult to get anywhere that a tourist would want to go. this is convenient to a nice park and some shopping and dining. The nearest tourist destination is the old bullfighting arena.
