Blown away is an understatement. This Omakase tasting menu was one of the best put together menus I've ever had. For me it is about the punch in the face flavour you get with every dish as it really is about the complexity and combination the chef wants you to experience with every bite. This really has it all. Don't just take my opinion for it, you need to try it out for yourself.

Came here on a friends recommendation as this was their favorite dining experience in CDMX. Beautiful omakase dinner with great drink pairing but price was a bit steep for the food. Roughly over $500 for two people with drink pairings.
The dishes were unique with both common and special ingredients being utilized in interesting ways, but not everything was delicious. I know the menu changes constantly so I'm interested to come back again and see what else the Chef comes up with.

Amazing selections of 12+ courses highlighting some of the best ingredients from all over Mexico. You can tell the chef has a deep appreciation of not just fine dining but also food in general. Their corn especially blew me away. The staff contacted me before hand on whatsapp to see if I had any food allergies (luckily I have none) so they are definitely respectful of those concerns. Highly recommend if it fits within your budget.

I can't put into words how amazing the food and experience was.

Get the tasting menu u0026 alcohol pairing. The chef is a genius, and it's worth every penny. Don't go without a reservation, but they're easy to come by.

Interesting ambiance and food, not sure if will come back. Food was unique, mix of Mexican and Asian flavors. My two favorite was the roasted corns and the brisket. And the least favorite ones was the oyster which gave me a weird taste in my mouth, also the uni rise. I ordered wine and the sommelier didn’t even serve it to taste it first; he just pour it on my glass which I thought for a 4 star restaurant a bad service. And he didn’t know the right amount to pour for a glass. I can’t comment on dessert because didn’t pick any. I was really hopping for a better experience since I got a lot of reviews from friends to check this place out , however there are a couple things that could be done better.

A superb fine dining restaurant in CDMX—Better than Pujol, IMO. For those who don’t know, Em is a new addition to the Edo Kobayashi Group (Rokai, Tachinomi, Tokyo music Bar) and is the 1st restaurant in the group that does not specialize in Japanese cuisine. Vibe is chill, prices are reasonable, dishes are creative and inventive (garlic foam??) Best sea bass I’ve ever had. Extra perk: you can order a la carte. Great option

The menu is changing often so I’m not sure if maybe some days are better. We came in Jan 2022, everything we had was a let down in terms of texture combinations and flavor profiles. It was beautifully plated, the environment was nice, and the staff was attentive enough.. it’s just the dishes weren’t worth coming for in a city filled with delicious flavors. Very disappointing, a let down.

We had: fried zucchini balls (fine), eggplant/cheese disk shells, uni toast, the mini corn (best item but ours were bigger than they should have been), the Nashville “hot” chicken which wasn’t at all that and just basic fried chicken in terms of flavor, and wagyu beef which we doubted was wagyu bc it was tough and didn’t have the classic flavor profile or texture of real wagyu, and lastly the Mamay tart which wasn’t for us a great combo flavor wise.
