Fantastic brunch restaurant. Wait time was about 40 minutes but was very worth it. This was my first time to this location as I usually visit the zocalo location. Service and the food was of excellent quality as expected.
I recommend starting with the signature hot chocolate and a sweet bread. My favorite dish is the Arrachera with red salsa chilaquiles. The flavors are perfect from the crispy chilaquiles to the savory skirt steak finished off with a delicious flan. Service here was also top notch. Come early as there’s a wait on Sunday’s.

I came to try the Chilaquiles with chicken. The green salsa was more flavorful than the red one.

I ordered one for dining in and another for takeout. They forgot the chicken in both of them.

I told them about the missing chicken while dining in, but I didn't realize the takout one was also missing the chicken until I got home.

Overall this place was good, and I'd go again if I was in the area.

Great Mexican restaurant! Food is carefully prepared and ingredients are of high quality. If you visit during august - September make sure to order a Chile en Nogada.

The venue was ok, the other locations are nicer but the service was great, friendly and efficient. Loved the cecina with enchiladas. The tangerine juice was tasty too. A nice spot for breakfast in the Napoles neighborhood.

This is such a great place to meet for breakfast or lunch. I highly recommend it.

El Cardenal has perfected many dishes, especially the enchiladas and Huaraches. They also bring these little bollitos that are a pure joy to dip into the sauces that adorn each plate. I will definitely return and try their barbacoa, which wasn't on the menu, but I heard was served in other occasions. I had my Huaraches with costilla, and I couldn't be more satisfied.

Excellent service delicious food at great prices. It’s new location of the 4 restaurants in Mexico City. Everyone knows about it and usually with wait times on the weekend.
