Many things keep me coming back to Mexico City. But at the top of the list are the people, the food, the atmosphere, the hospitality, and hidden gems like El Cardenal. I was recommended this restaurant by a close associate who lives in Mexico City. He recommended I get there early as the crowd starts to pick up rapidly. I arrived at 8:30 AM and had no issues getting a table. But within an hour the place was bustling with executives and Mexico City is upper class. Sitting outside was enjoyable. Probably ate the most delicious concha I’ve ever had, fresh out of the oven. The green juice and mango purée are delicious. The lattes were a little smaller than what I’m used to but we are every bit delicious. The staff made me feel extremely special and well cared for.

Great tasting Mexican food. Lots of choice. The service is extremely fast and polite. The restaurant decor is basic but clean and modern. There is the option of valet parking at the cost of $45 per hour. I’m a big fan of this venue and would happily return again

A great place, specially for breakfast (as late as a midday breakfast!). The quality of the food is superb in a very relaxed atmosphere. The service is first class with very attentive and cordial waiters. It is an experience to enjoy a great Mexican dish in a crowded but enjoyable place. Depending on the time of the day you may have to wait, but even with a long wait, the wait is worth it to experience such nice food! Well recommended even considering the heavy traffic in Mexico City!

I had the arrachera con chilaquiles and it was so good!! I also had some fresh Abuelita’s Hot Chocolate, that that make in front of you. And I had a fresh jugó de tuna (prickly pear). It was all very delicious.

The food is delicious but this place is definitely in high demand, especially if you're planning to come on a weekend. If you are open to eating at the bar, there may be no wait - so definitely ask the hostess about this options. The eggs with squash flowers were super delicious.

My boyfriend and I came here for lunch. Service was outstanding and the food was great. We ordered several things and were pleased with the quality and price. I’d recommend the salmon in mango salsa, it was delicious!
