It is a perfect place to stay. I had stayed at lots of hotels all over the world but this is a different kind hotel. Very nice, very romantic, I would like to be here with my girlfriend. Staff also very kind, nice and helpful. There is a cafe inside the hotel, open for 24h, everything is free except beer and wine. If I come again to Mexico City, I will stay here 100%

We were warmly welcomed at this wonderful hotel after a long flight. They took such good care of us, and the hotel itself was beautiful! The breakfasts were delicious, and we had free snacks and drinks whenever we liked! I would certainly recommend this place to a friend who is excited to explore beautiful downtown Mexico City.

Very nice hotel, centrally located, rooms are cosy, bottle water available always in corridor, breakfast saloon extremely small, always a queue if you want an omlett

If there is a six star for a hotel I have given to this hotel. A very very nice hotel with big rooms and bathrooms. Certainly the best hotel I have ever stayed in my fifty years of traveling. The service by the staff is excellent. Free snack food, apples and non alcoholic drinks all day long at the garden cafe. Right in centre of town. Excellent value for money. You can never get such a hotel for this price anywhere in the world.

The food and drinks at this café are super good and staff friendly! The barista makes everything fresh, plus all the foods and drinks (except alcohol) are included with your stay at Historico Central Hotel.

This boutique hotel was great.
Important Pros and cons below (the view is a big thing to look out for).

Pros: Good location and attention to details. They greeted us with lemonade and a handwritten welcome note from the manager. They have fridges on each floor with bottled water. The front cafe provides free non alcoholic drinks. The staff is friendly and the workers were very nice and helpful (remember to tip people) :)

We didnt try the breakfast so we can speak for it being a pro or con. We opted to eat at Sandborns for breakfast during our stay

Cons: The ONLY con is the window situation. I'm guessing this is the case for most hotels in the historic centre/zocalo area -- it seems that they have limited street view due to the building layout. This means that most rooms are built inward so they do not have any type of view. Instead, the built these little pockets in between the building to let some natural light in. The pockets are directly facing other rooms. We were on the 2nd floor so our natural light was limited. I could look up and saw that the higher rooms had more sunlight coming in. So be warned: if you want any type of view or natural light be sure to book a room with a balcony or a higher up room. Also, I'm going to make sure I look at this if I book another room in this area whether it's this hotel or any other. I think the extra $ might be worth it if you want any type of street view.

It's a 4 for now due to the view situation. I really wish I had known about it so I could've upgraded my room :(

This quaint place is a great place to enjoy a morning cup of coffee. The mochaccino was sweet but delicious. There family that runs the place is caring and very accommodating. On Google maps this place is easy to confuse with Café Central, which is two doors down and is associated with a hotel. The coffee in Café del Centro is superior to that of it's similarly named neighbor.
