READ before making a reservation:
Summary: I stayed with my 12 year old son for 10 nights while visiting family. THIS IS TRULLY THE WORST HOTEL EXPERIENCE I HAVE EVER HAD:

1. We had to change rooms at 11:40 PM because the air conditioner went down-but the room change "is just for the night Sr."
2. I requested kitchen towels for the room as the holder was empty-but it took litterally 48 hours for the towels to arrive.
3. I had to wash the dishes in the dish washer before using them because they were dirty-they had traces of food, and there was no dish washer soap, that took overnight to arrive.
4. The first day I took a cold shower because I had NO hot water in the room. Maintenance had to come after to "flush the air out of the pipes".
5. "The first bag of coffee is free, you have to purchase it there after". I order bags, the front desk confirmed they "had only one", I ask to charge it and send it to the room, they brought 2, but the cleaning crew took the second with them when they clean the room.
6. The bathroom sink was plugged, they send maintenance to fix it.
7. The electricity went out EVERY night for seconds, numerous times, so make sure you bring a surge protector for your devices. If you sleep with a cPAP-good luck.
8. Maintenance had to come change the shower head as multiple holes (many many) were plug with calcium, and many others partially plugged, so it was difficult to get water directly down and take a shower (I am not being picky), it was a mess.
9. The cleaning crew left the kitchen dirty most often.
10. The front desk would be sending the dry cleaners menu and bags "right away Sr." but it never arrived. I found a dry cleaners myself.
11. And a few other things.

I have travel for business as a Consultant for 20 years: this hotel looks lika a Residence in by Marriott, but the maintenance and service are awful to say the least.

I would strongly recommend you to find another hotel.

Note: I will be making a formal complaint with Marriott Corp.

Had a terrible experience when I stayed with my family a few weeks ago. From the first day, we noticed the shower in our room was spraying water all over the bathroom floor. We thought it might just be our room, so we called maintenance. A worker came to inform us there was nothing he could do about it, and that all rooms had the same issue because it was a design problem with the entire hotel. In addition to the water leakage, the shower water temperature ranged from mildly hot to boiling hot. There was no way to get cooler water from the shower. The water leakage issue was not just annoying, but also a serious safety hazard. I slipped on the large puddle of water created by the shower and could have been seriously hurt if I hadn't caught myself on the handrail. A manager talked to us and said he would get us a new room and refund the cost, we just had to wait a few days. We waited, and couldn't get any updates on the refund. On the last day of our stay, we were finally told we wouldn't get the refund that had been promised. The manager (Israel Orozco) had provided his contact information and had been responding to my messages, but stopped replying the moment after we checked out. It is clear they never had any intention of refunding us, and just lied and stalled until we had checked out and left before cutting off communication. I am very disappointed in the service provided by this hotel, and especially disappointed that I was deceived and lied to by the manager handling our situation, Israel Orozco. From reading other reviews for this location, it's clear there is a serious issue with management and we will not be returning.

This hotel is a joke.
I’ve stayed here 7 times in 12 months. The staff is nice, kind and tries their best. The management is incompetent. There is no leadership. There is no organization. This hotel will be closed in 18 months. The hot water rarely works. If you ask something from front desk it takes at least 40 minutes to get to you (think toilet paper and towels). The pots and plates and silverware are more often than not dirty. The water from the shower sprays everywhere. Design Flaw, dangerous as the whole floor of the bathroom gets slippery. The hot water is nonexistent. The breakfast is gross. The Kcr corporation that runs this place is embarrassing. Their systems are out of date. They overpromise and underdeliver over and over. Marriott should be embarrased.

Da testicular staff and room. Beautiful and well cared for property. The roof top pool and gym had great views. Laundry on site for 80 pesos and includes detergent and fabric sheet. Good breakfast and best egg whites my husband ever had. He couldn’t shut up about them and even had to find out the brand

The room is very spacious, laid out differently than in USA because all confined to one building. Understand the logistics. Breakfast was good and had a lot for the group. Earlier the better, hotel is quite full.
Glad I am staying here for my business, well situated for taxi and uber.

The Hotel manager and staff are amazing and correct any issues immediately. The Marriot is situated across the street from a large modern mall complex which is close to many area restaurants and shopping. The gym is adequate to get the blood pumping while you are traveling, the rooftop pool is also quite nice with some soft jazz playing in the background. The hotel itself is new, modern, and well-appointed if you need to cook during your stay. The morning breakfast buffet and hot coffee are also terrific. If you are a light sleeper ask for a room without adjoining room doors. Uber will get you into the historic zone with ease. You can't miss with this hotel. Gracias Merida Marriot!

We are currently staying in this hotel which doesn't provide its guests with purified drinking water, except for one bottle, less than a liter per ROOM, and unlike every other hotel in Mexico, from the best to the worst, wants to make you pay for the water you need to take your medicine. The WORST. Run away from this place.
