Old timer cantina, very interesting characters. A very authentic experience but could fully recommend to foreigners, no safety issues, is just that they/you might feel not too comfortable.

OK... so you just hit Happy Fish for some awesome Baja style tacos and now you need to wet your whistle with something other than the Coke they are thrusting upon you. Enter Bar Martin. They serve a green drink here... they say its made from Yerba Mate (if my memory serves me) but what they describe is more like some kind of Aloe. It's supposed to be medicinal... must be why those business men pound one down during lunch and then take a 32 ouncer back to work with them? This was the coolest bar we went to in GDX. Everyone was friendly and laughing and smiling. Gringos? Not here. Thank God for Uber... we stumbled out of here half out of our minds. I'd go back to Guadalajara just to go here again. Especially on a weekday afternoon.

Well this is one of the oldest "cantina de barrio" still standing, they claim that is the place where the hierbabuena coctail was invented.

Another Cantina with food for free as long as you drink. Very rustic.
