Recently completed a 1 week mini vacation here where we worked remote and enjoyed the night life Cancun had to offer. Paid $1500 for 6 nights which isn’t bad considering it’s a condo style place and pretty private. I would potentially stay again if the price is right.
PROS:
1. Located on a semi private street right outside the hotel zone. The neighborhood is really nice, taxis are always outside and available; the bus stop is right up the street and for 12 pesos takes you all the way to the hotel zone or downtown.
2. All of the rooms have an upstairs and downstairs with an outdoor balcony. Our balcony was big and overlooked the pool and the bay, nice views.
3. Front desk and Jesus are nice, daily room service (though they were out of washcloths our first day)
4. Filtered water refill at the front lobby, restaurant on site (minimal food options), convenience store right up the street as well as restaurants too.
CONS
1. We had a problem with ants in the kitchen. The first 3 days anytime in the kitchen there were ants (Room 118). I finally complained and the front desk did a good job with fixing the problem and coming to spray the entire area. We didn't see ants after that
2. The wifi SUCKS! considering we all were working remote during the day this was a really big inconvenience. It worked better in the restaurant since the router was located outside.
3. Though the property is semi updated inside, the actual inside could still use multiple updates, from the doors, the paint and the bed headboards
4. The 2nd bed mattress sunk in so bad, luckily nobody slept in that bed but needs to be replaced
5. There was a glob of hair in the shower when we checked in along with a razor so makes me wonder how often they clean the actual shower floors
6. Not the hotels fault, but Uber in the hotel zone and downtown is pretty much non existent; so taxi drivers charge double the price of Uber trying to get over. Use the bus, so much cheaper and runs 24 hours
