Good location. Low prices. A bit too noisy in the rooms which are not shared, cause walls are thin and people can't adjust fast to the time difference and some were awake till 4 in the morning and others wake up around 4 and started to argue/fight about something. I would recommend ear plugs and sleeping masks or book a nice hotel chepatones.

Very bad hostel. The staff is so confused, rude and not helpful. It was overbooked and they didn't have a 4 beds dorm like we booked. They put us in a 3 beds dorm and said they will add a bed but we needed to ask 3 or 4 times before they did something (at 9 pm). They charge everyone 19% more for some reason. No a/c, only one 2 showers for the whole hostel, free water tank always empty. We checked out 2 nights in advance even if we couldn't have our money back. I would not recommend.

I have stayed in many cheap hostels, but this one was absolutely disgusting! We had reserved 3 beds in a four bedroom room. When we arrived there were 5 beds in the room (one was a matress on the floor) and no lockers. There was one storage cabinet that was used and had a lock on it so no place for our things. We were put in a 3 person room since we had not gotten the room we paid for. Our new room had a giant ball of hair in the corner, handprints on the walls, broken AC unit, small spots on sheets which was evidence of bed bugs, ants all over, very hot with only a tiny window, and the list goes on. We arrived very late so we slept sitting on chairs and demanded our money back the next day. We regretted not doing more research! I hope I can help you not make the same mistake we did. Also, the "kitchen" is six feet wide with a mini fridge that is completely packed in a tiny hall area. I am not one to write bad reviews, but Mundo Maya was bad enough I felt the need to help other travelers.

Well I'm on my last night here.....but I'm sure it will end well.....when I stay in a hostel, I expect a room with a bed, ventilation, and a bathroom....I've always gotten a single w a bathroom in the room....so with that said....I liked the place...yes it could use a little sprucing up...and I would have loved a replacement blanket but I never asked... i brought my own but I'm not sure if they have towels.....but the price can't be beat..the staff is nice and helpful and keep in mind they only speak Spanish....the coffee was brown and the ac was cold....it's on a quiet part of the block....and close to lots of things....and the ADO bus is like a 10 min walk, you will want ADO bus if you dont take the package toura.....and the local bus to the hotel zone is on Av. Tulum another 5 to 10 min walk...car rental is literally next door....the snack shop is 2 min away....

Excelente Lugar, los derredores estan super coquetos. If you want an international, chilked out place where Europe comes together and drinks a couple of Indios while Jose Jose tells his stories, it's the place to be! Don't expect Room Service or 5 Stars but what you can expect is a clean room, a fan and a cozy bed for your stay in Cancun! 100/100 would recommend again

BAD UNHELPFUL MANAGEMENT.
On arival was charged 19% more than expected. I complained and agreed to stay 2 out of 4 nights. Was informed that that was fine by an absolutly lovly receptionist. However 4 hours later AFTER i had already booked alternative acoomodation she returned to tell me her boss was insisting i pay all 4 nights.
I first asked if i could swap with a guest walking in at that moment looking for accomodation for the same nights and dispite him and the receptionist agreeing was refused by the boss.
I informed them that if i was paying the 4 nights i would leave some of my stuff there occupying my bed and locker instead of lugging it around for 2 days. To which the boss who never once came out of his office sent the still amazingly friendly and patient receptionist to inform me that i was now labeled a PROBLEM GUEST and had to leave immediately with only a 50% refund or he would call the police i as I WAS NOT RESPECTING THE POLICY in fine print in the email i recieved in Spanish well after making my booking which never appear in any total price during booking.

Horrible experience, still 97 days waiting for my refund and they do nothing, every single hostel in Mexico (around 8) had given the refund in one day and more than 3 months waiting for this thiefs! Such a shame
