We had a very nice experience for our 3-night stay at this hotel. Even though the hotel is old, it is quite well maintained and most importantly clean and pleasant. Our room was comfortable, functional, and very clean,. The best part was that the bed was very comfortable and the washroom had good water pressure and hot water instantly available. The worst part was that there are no laptop-sized safes in the rooms; in fact, no safes at all in most rooms. (Guests can leave valuables at the front desk.)

Our stay included the buffet breakfast at the hotel restaurant, which is very nice, quite elegant in fact, and provides a wonderful and comfortable atmosphere. The buffet provided a large selection of so many foods! The amount of food choices is fantastic and impressive if you have no dietary restrictions but it was very limited if you eat a plant-based, vegan diet. It would be much more helpful if plant foods like potatoes or any of the other vegetables were cooked on their own and not with added pieces of meat or dairy, given that there were already so many meat and dairy dishes provided. Either way, we managed to have a good breakfast experience thanks to the abundance of fresh fruits, freshly prepared fruit-veg juices, and granola.

What made our stay extra good and extra memorable were the staff, including at the front desk, housekeeping, and the restaurant who were all very professional, attentive, friendly, and so nice!!!! A special thank you goes to the amazing waiters at the restaurant, especially Ignacio and Pablo. The service at this hotel was really outstanding and one of the top reasons that we can recommend this hotel to others. Keep up the great work!

Stayed here June 2-June 5 2021 while traveling back home to the states with my parents. Staff was super friendly and helpful. Initially our room 228 our hot water was not working but they quickly offered to switch us rooms and sent someone to help us move. Rooms are small but comfortable, beds are comfortable. Appreciate housekeeping cleaning our room everyday. Gym was a nice bonus. I used it a few times while I was there. Only suggestion would be.... replacing the bathroom towels. Towels seemed very old and could definitely use newer ones. I would definitely stay at the Country Plaza Hotel again!

Good hotel in a safe area.

Small but clean rooms. All the staff was very helpful and nice.

There is a weird smell in the hall.. maybe the carpet. It is an old hotel but well maintained.

The best thing was the beds... they are super comfortable.

The hotel itself is lovely living in Guadalajara Mexico we don't have bathtubs so that's one of the reasons I selected this hotel and they had a Jacuzzi bathtub it was wonderful their breakfast their staff was great but their dinners or not me being a chef and going all over the world I asked him if they needed my services the way they made a Caesar salad was horrible I have the picture of it they did a chicken moly and just covered the chicken not really you don't know where they was boiled or a braised or broiled I wanted a baked potato they didn't ask you or bring things on the side they just put it in the microwave and they just put some butter on it never discussing it I had to ask for my bread to be heated then I wanted a period water I have translation on my phone so I'm able to communicate he brought me a sweet and sour bubbly water it was not a period so what I said to the food and beverage guy if you need some help I would be willing to come in for a day or once a week and show them how to prepare American food the Caesar salad was just horrible and the chicken was too but in the mornings the service is different but they still don't realize that when you're serving like I had toast he didn't even cut the toast he just brought it they don't know because they never been taught but the staff was great I always make sure that I tip them at least 20 peso for whatever they do and people should remember that because they don't have a cash flow down here they live on their tips so overall the stay was great I would go back

The place is group and family oriented. It has a business center, meeting room, Fitness center, a pool and other amenities. There are hot tubs in the rooms. I love to have a coffee maker in the room. Staff are nice and helpful.

I'm very disappointed in the service this time around. I came here a few months ago and I was very happy with the hospitality but coming a second time I learned that they do not treat you the same way. I called to make the reservation 4 months ago, I spoke to Tatiana. I had asked for rooms facing the pool which theres a lot. She assured me that she would help me and would have those available. When we showed up, she gave us a room facing the outside and supposedly the pool. See pictures attached. I spoke to Tatiana who said that those were the only rooms a available. Then I spoke to Betsy who was not helpful at all. She said she was sorry but nothing the could do. As I was going to lunch, I saw other guest walking into rooms that could be been given to me as they were in the same area and floor as mine. When I asked, they acted like they didnt know. Please know that they will treat you amazing the first time, but I would not recommend coming back a second time.
