Beautiful place to visit. The whole area has vendors and food but the basilica itself it breathtaking. Make this a stop on your journey.
Wonderful vendors to choose from and a communal area to visit in the evenings and eat.

The plaza surrounding the basilica is currently under renovation. The street food (though delicious) is overpriced. For example a small cup of corn (esquite) cost $1 to $1.25 USD but the same size here cost about $2.50 USD. It's worth the price if you are tourist that's just visiting but not sustainable for a Mexican family when minimum wage is $8 USD per day.

Try the local market! Don't be afraid to explore! The foods are amazing and the people are super friendly! Is cheap, unique and a great experience!

Our hosts brought us around the old city Zapopan on a Sunday night and it was delightful. Beautiful sights, sounds and local treats.

Beautiful rich decorated church in the downtown of Zapopan. Must see and directly situated at a nice townsquare where many activities are organized or where you can get coffee and refresments to get back on your feet again.
