Though the lots of marimba types in display are nice, you should come for the marimba guys!
They we're great and gave a little private show, and I even got to try play the marimba myself, at least tried to ;)
If you in the area of marimba park you should check it, and even try to be at the park at 6pm for the shows in the park

It's open! I'd read online that the museum was closed but happened to pass by and see the door open. My Spanish is limited, but the guided tour was still very informative and I learned so much about how the instrument has evolved and is constructed. At the end, you are treated to a private performance. This was my favorite experience in Tuxtla.

Closed for Covid even as the world opens up. Chiapas is not ready for visitors.

The only public park with live marimba music 365 days a year.

Nice place to stop by but it is very hot. Not air conditioning.
